Characters: Nanami and Bakura the batd
Location: Venezuela
Rating: PG-13
Time: May 20th, evening
Description: Tree-houses are being haunted, Nanami and Yami Bakura move in toenjoy the resorts and spent Shibusen’s money under a thin disguise go ghost hunting.
They had arrived early and taken their sweet time checking out a noble resort that was to be their temporary working central before Bakura and Nanami had eventually made their way to the supposedly haunted tree-houses. It was starting to dawn when they finally arrived after they had followed a dusty and half-forgotten street to its end.
Bakura had organized one of those four-wheeled motorcycles whose names me always forgot and had somehow managed to drive and park it well against all odds (keeping to the tempo limit wasn’t something the Spirit of the Sennen Ring considered an option). Climbing down from it, he grabbed his small backpack with equipment before he nodded to his Weapon of the moment.
“That’s it. We’re here.” Despite what they were about to do he seemed rather cheerful.

She quickly wiped some tears away and turned back to the vehicle climbing aboard. It couldn't be that hard right? She had meant to ask him how to work this thing properly before she tried to drive it but there wasn't exactly time for a quick lesson. Instead she had to rely on what she remembered seeing him do when they first got on. Turn the key, something about the brakes and park, hit the start button. And the ATV jumped forward a little because she wasn't holding down the brake properly. "S..sorry!"

He felt like throwing up when he somehow switched back to sitting properly on the machine again (no use trying to toss knives at anybody when he was already like that) and placed a hand over hers.
"Not that jerky. You have to feel it or you'll kill the engine." There was even a light chuckle in his voice as he tried to guide her hand with his own that felt too hot and dry. A small, almost gentle smile had appeared on his lips even though their corners still twisted with a haughty edge.
Bakura didn't know how to fear dead. But he knew how to laugh into its face.

"O...okay," She was really trying really hard to get this right while remaining as calm as possible. Bakura's body against hers felt abnormally warm and it was especially apparent the moment he had put his hand on hers. Was it from running or was he feverish? She carefully felt out the direction his hand was trying to lead her and managed to get the vehicle to move forward while gradually gaining speed. "I think I've got it."
And not a moment too soon as the beasts were nearly breaking the clearing not too far from where they were. It was a shame she missed the smile but even if she had managed to catch it there wouldn't have been enough time to fully appreciate the unusual gentleness accompanying it.
