Description: Welcome to Death City.



BREW doesn't think about kidnappings, activists or the hot, dry weather that hangs over the desert city this week. After powering up, giving energy readings on the night of the 18th that alerted Shibusen to new arrivals, they turn now to volunteers to assist in giving the newcomers the information and supplies they need.

Perhaps you're one of the ones who woke up in the Kishin Chamber on the morning of the 19th. Perhaps you live in Casualty Communal and were woken up by equipment transporting strange x-ray machines to rest in front of the building, prepared to scan the fresh meat and determine which are Meisters and which are Weapons.

Regardless, it's looking a little more like old times... let's give them a warm welcome, shall we?

"I have the talents needed to be a Meister, so I found a Weapon and went to work," Six stated with a small shrug. "Not much else I could do."

[redregrets]

"I guess. What do you do, exactly? Don't meisters have special abilities or something?"

[sixthdeadliest]

"I have Soul Protect. It shields my soul from being spotted," he explained. "Makes it a bit easier when using stealth against something that detects souls."

[redregrets]

"That's useful. I bet that comes in handy on missions and shit." Not fair he wants cool meister powers.

[sixthdeadliest]

He nodded. "Easier to get the drop on the enemy if they can't 'smell' you coming.

"Did you find out if you were a Meister or Weapon?"

[redregrets]

No. I'm not really that interested to find out. _{[And he doesn't want some stranger staring at his soul, thanks.]}

[sixthdeadliest]

"If you're planning to join the fight, then you'll have to figure it out eventually. Otherwise, it's not as important, I guess."

He'd never put much thought into trying to have a normal life. End of war equaled a trip home. That was all he'd needed to know.

[redregrets]

"What do you mean? Can't I just try to become a weapon or whatever and if that doesn't work I know I'm the other one?" This seems like a logical thing to him.

[sixthdeadliest]

"From what I can tell, it takes a lot of training and focus to be able to assume Weapon form for the first time. Trying and failing is no guarantee you're one or the other."

[redregrets]

"Fuck. Well, weapons can't wield weapons, right? So, if I try to use a weapon and I can't, than I'm a weapon."

[sixthdeadliest]

"Not a good general rule to follow either," Six stated. "I've seen a pair of sisters wield one another, swapping out who's Meister and Weapon, when the need arises. Seems like the basic 'if your souls are compatible, you can fight together' rule applies even if it's two Weapons working together instead of a pair with a Meister and a Weapon."

[redregrets]

"Ugh, are you serious? Look, I don't want some fucking stranger seeing my soul, let alone one of my friends. Isn't there a way around this?"

[sixthdeadliest]

"Very serious," Six said, answering the first question. "As for any other way, I don't know. There might be, but you'd have to do some digging."

[redregrets]

"Well aren't you just so fucking helpful? Is there anything positive you can tell me about this situation?"

[sixthdeadliest]

"You prefer a pretty lie or the truth?" Six asked with a raised eyebrow.

[redregrets]

"The truth. Thanks."

[sixthdeadliest]

"Then get used to the truth not being what you want to hear," Six stated flatly. "Most of the situation around here is pretty bad though at least you'll have a roof over your head regardless of if you choose to work with Shibusen or not."

[redregrets]

"Great. Okay. So the only positive thing you can tell me is congrats you get a place to fucking live. Is that really the best you can do? Some kind of welcome you are."

[sixthdeadliest]

"Not part of the welcome committee. I was just taking a look to see who all was pulled in by BREW," Six stated flatly. "If you want a welcome committee, I'd suggest finding someone else."

[redregrets]

"Oh, okay. So you showed up looking for your friends or your allies, whatever. And you got me, so now you're going to be aggravating as shit and act like you have a stick up your nook."

[sixthdeadliest]

Unfazed, Six simply placed his hands in his pockets. He was used to having people tell him similar things or dealing with teenagers. Though, really, this little troll was winning in the "foul-mouthed brat" department.

"I showed up to see who would be useful in getting us all home," Six stated. "So far all I've seen is you."

And he wasn't impressed.

[redregrets]

Well, if you're looking for combat experience, I'm your troll. Otherwise, you're shit out of luck.

[sixthdeadliest]

"Then you need to make a choice," Six said, still unimpressed. "You can use your combat experience but subject yourself to someone checking to see which role you're best suited for or sit on the sidelines. You don't want to fight a kishin egg blind."

Six tilted his head to look past the troll, trying to spy more of the newcomers leaving the school. Those were always easy to pick out: pissed off, confused, upset, or all three.
