[OPEN] April 2013 Introduction Log

Characters: Volunteers, Newcomers and OPEN for mingling!
Location: All Around Death City
Rating: Varies
Time: May 19th, All Day
Description: Welcome to Death City.

BREW doesn't think about kidnappings, activists or the hot, dry weather that hangs over the desert city this week. After powering up, giving energy readings on the night of the 18th that alerted Shibusen to new arrivals, they turn now to volunteers to assist in giving the newcomers the information and supplies they need.

Perhaps you're one of the ones who woke up in the Kishin Chamber on the morning of the 19th. Perhaps you live in Casualty Communal and were woken up by equipment transporting strange x-ray machines to rest in front of the building, prepared to scan the fresh meat and determine which are Meisters and which are Weapons.

Regardless, it's looking a little more like old times... let's give them a warm welcome, shall we?

[ooc: Newcomers! Simply tag in to any or all of the sections here and volunteers will pop right up to greet you ASAP! The last section is completely OPEN for newcomers, volunteers, or Guests all ready in Death City who want to come up and say hello. Have fun!]

It wasn't pleasant being suddenly pulled from his duties on Alternia, and his problems were compounded by the painful lack of weapons and the vital supplies his sylladex provided. He took solace that he at least had his armor on, even if it was only the thinner, ceremonial version of his fatigues.

Despite that, he seemed alert and agitated, but otherwise enough at ease as he opted to stay on school grounds and within its walls until sundown. The initial tour guide had let him be with simple directions to the building that would assign him housing whenever he was ready to leave, apparently coming to the quick realization that he shouldn't try to sway Dualscar to the contrary.

When night did fall, he'd ignore the ostentatious designs that permeated many aspects of the city on his way to the Communal. He wouldn't go too far out of his way, though it can't be said his route was very direct, either. He'd opted to explore on his own and familiarize himself with some of the city, wanting to get more information on his own.

"You're fuckin' kiddin' me."

Hey there loser, there's a tyrian that's stopped on the road to stare. Because really, only an Ampora would think a cape was a good idea in this weather. For a second she hesitates, not sure if it's worth the headache it will surely bring her to actually stop and talk to him--

--but better she speak to him before the Condesce does.

"Yo, suckafish!"

She turns to face his direction fully, drawing herself up to her full (and currently very unimpressive) height, hands on her hips.

"Bring yo ass on over here!"

His attention's clearly captured, as indicated by the way he paused mid-stride to turn his head and halfway face the source--seems making a show out of even simple responses was ingrained within Ampora DNA. His eyes narrowed a moment, but the expression vanished under a veil of detachment quickly thereafter.

The voice had a familiar cadence and syntax, but there was something wrong with it. Still, he decided against taking his chances and turned, initially looking over her head, halfway expecting the Condesce. His expectations would explain how quickly his demeanor defaulted to obedience pretty quickly.

Oh but wait there's a shorter, much younger troll facing him instead. Still, he approached, clearly unimpressed, now. He was going to say something, but. Well... He assumed this troll before him was an heiress, and he was not thrilled in the least.

"Good evening, Heiress." He knew his place, and he knew not to meddle in royal affairs, so he'd swallow his distaste and stick to protocol for now, remaining neutral and obedient. For the sake of his best interests, of course. "Is there anything in particular I can do for you?"

He had questions, but now was the time to hold his tongue and put the crown first.

She's almost pleased by the deference. Almost. But she's smart enough to know that it's probably not the wisest thing to try and order around an adult Alternian troll- that doesn't, of course, mean she's going to stop doing it. It just means she's not going to give him the opportunity to put her in a position where he can do anything to her without a fight. She waves off the formality with an impatient flick of her wrist, tapping her weapon against her shoulder idly.

"Cram the heiress carp, Ampora, ain't nomoby got time for that right now."

Which really, isn't something she'd normally say, but she's got a few pressing questions before she lets status rear its head again.

"So you just got here right? You met up with any otter trolls yet?"

If it wouldn't be such a treacherous breach of tradition, he would be tempted to take care of the problem for the Empress and cull her here and now. Instead, he resisted the urge to roll his eyes at her impetuous hauteur--she better be thankful that she bore royal blood--and ignored the attempt to bring attention to her weapon.

"Hm.." Instead, he kept his gaze steady, but still alert and expectant. As it were, he was used to the Empress' temperament, but his lips still thinned when her impatience shone through.

"Not yet, no. Have you just arrived, yourself?"

But there was a pause as he raised a brow.

"That's General Dualscar, if you will." How the fuck did he know his surname?
