[OPEN] April 2013 Introduction Log
Characters: Volunteers, Newcomers and OPEN for mingling!
Location: All Around Death City
Rating: Varies
Time: May 19th, All Day
Description: Welcome to Death City.
BREW doesn't think about kidnappings, activists or the hot, dry weather that hangs over the desert city this week. After powering up, giving energy readings on the night of the 18th that alerted Shibusen to new arrivals, they turn now to volunteers to assist in giving the newcomers the information and supplies they need.
Perhaps you're one of the ones who woke up in the Kishin Chamber on the morning of the 19th. Perhaps you live in Casualty Communal and were woken up by equipment transporting strange x-ray machines to rest in front of the building, prepared to scan the fresh meat and determine which are Meisters and which are Weapons.
Regardless, it's looking a little more like old times... let's give them a warm welcome, shall we?
[ooc: Newcomers! Simply tag in to any or all of the sections here and volunteers will pop right up to greet you ASAP! The last section is completely OPEN for newcomers, volunteers, or Guests all ready in Death City who want to come up and say hello. Have fun!]

She couldn't lie, it was a lot like Monster High had expanded to all of New Salem sometimes- though with considerably less of the kind of monsters Cupid was used to. She settled back against the SEES table, leaning on it slightly and gesturing around.
"I almost expect the Headless Headmistress to come riding through sometimes-- but she doesn't of course. Until you got here, I thought I was going to be the only one from home to show up. On the one hand, it's kind of a relief to have a familiar face around... but on the other... well. I mean it's a war, you know? No one really wants their friends dragged into that."
She realizes after a moment that she's being unusually gloomy, and tries to lighten the mood, smiling again.
"There are some scary-sweet people here, though. Most of them are normies, but some of them- like Jack- are a lot like monsters from back at school."

She silently nods in response as Cupid goes on, taking in her words, agreeing and understanding precisely what she means. It made sense, honestly, but...
"So long as we do what we can and have a plan, though, we can protect ourselves and our friends. Both new and old, of course." she offers a little smile. "I'm looking forward to meeting them for myself."

Actually, theirs are probably worse, but Cupid wouldn't notice, used to them as she is. She slips her arm through Ghoulia's though and tugs her gently back toward the SEES table, not wanting to neglect her duties there for too long.
"Oh, you'll meet everyone soon enough- probably when you make a post, if I can't find them to introduce them to you before then. In the meantime though, you should totally fang out here at the SEES table with me. For one, it makes it loads easier to make sure you get a welcome basket and for another it'll be easier to catch each other up on all the good gossip."

As well as a reassuring plan to follow. Remaining nearby the one familiar face in the city while figuring things out seemed a fine plan, especially since a bit of gossip couldn't hurt. With how often she'd been around Cleo, gossip was pretty important; especially with all the little insights one could glean from the various events that were talked about.
"I don't have anywhere else to be in particular, and I'm certainly not prepared to go be lost again, so I'd say that's a plan." she smiled. Staying here, chatting, perfect.

Which could be a problem for a zombie like Ghoulia- but she was resourceful, Cupid was sure she'd come up with something.
"So, what's the last thing that was going on at home?"
no subject
"SOS button" she repeated, making note of it. If it was exclusively in the mirror, she'd have to make sure she never let hers anywhere out of reach. That'd be an invaluable resource. She wondered what more she could do with that in mind, but there was another question to be answered.
"Last thing..." she paused, thinking back, then stated quite simply. "Draculaura's Sweet 1600 Party."
