Description: The mission's simple: Arrest the perpetrators, and get our friends back. Of course, the kidnappers aren't going to make it simple...

The first step was finding a way into the tunnels connected to the sewers. Thanks to Guest investigators and the Death City Police Department, two entrances were found, allowing for a pincer movement. The mirrors are primed and ready to go, situated in the sewers proper by dawn and ready for a quick extraction of the abduction victims. On the other side, in the Shibusen clinic, medics are on standby for medical treatment of the victims and the fighters heading in to clear out and apprehend the masked weirdoes.

But the masked weirdoes have tricks up their own sleeves: The tunnels are littered with pit traps, thin wire triggers waiting to be sprung (or disarmed) with darts, arrows, or even falling rocks and debris in store for any intruders that decide to enter these makeshift halls, and the perpetrators themselves are armed with melee weapons, smoke and pepper bombs, and sheer numbers.

Today is also the day that the kidnappers have decided that a little isolation would make the prisoners more compliant. Roughly hauled up bright and early one by one, they're on their way to individual chambers when they each get a message via clairvoyance as promised:

"We're coming."

He is. Takuto has an insane amount of incredible luck. I'm quite envious of it actually.

But ah, I'm a weapon actually. But I assure you if we run across anyone bent on revenge I'll take care of them.

[she also wishes she had good luck to make up for her own recklessness. Nanami can't help but smile at his chivalrous nature because sometimes it's nice to be the damsel in distress even if she can watch out for herself.]

You too, huh? [she's a little disappointed he's not a Meister] In any case we should probably err on the side of caution and move slowly until the others catch up.

[he offers her a smile as he nods his head.]

Ah yes, it would probably pay to be a little cautious here though. But, I'm sure we'll be fine. I do know a few things when it comes to self defense.

That's reassuring. [she smiles, it's true they weren't dealing with Kishin eggs ~~or Zagi~~ here at least] I'll count on you then.

So how long have you been here?

[he nods his head and looks up wistfully.]

This would be my second day here.

[she kind of trips a little when he says it's only his second day here, lucky for her she was still holding onto his arm]

Seriously? Only two days? Wow, okay. Well, since we're both weapons if you have any questions feel free to ask me anything. Do you know your weapon form is yet?

[aaaand he's right there to help stop her from falling flat on her face. he'll continue on once he's sure she has her balance again.]

Yes. Takuto can be rather persuasive when he wants to be. Besides, I don't mind. This means a lot to him, so in turn it means a lot to me as well. But thank you Nanami, I'll keep that in mind if I have any questions in the future. But no. I don't know what I am just yet. The only thing we had time for before the meeting started was to see if I was a meister or a weapon.

You're a really good friend, aren't you. [it was a rhetorical question, and she was feeling a bit jealous of Takuto at this point] If you're going to be continually persuaded to do things by Takuto I'd highly suggest attending morning training so you can get that figured out soon.

I try to be, at least. [he offers her a small smile.] But yes, I do plan on going to those when they start back up.

[she is unable to return the smile since she has just come to the realization that with his bff around as a weapon Takuto probably doesn't need her anymore and even though she's trying to feel indifferent about it, the thought still kind of hurts.]

I'm sure I'll see you there then, do be sure to let me know your weapon form once you find out. If you'd like, I can lend you my dagger until you find something for yourself.

[he nods his head.] I'll make sure to let you know once I find out. And thank you for the offer. [a brief pause.] So how did you two meet?

[Nanami slides her arm out from his and begins drawing her dagger from her sleeve]

Oh Takuto? [She pauses a moment and then continues a bit dryly] Oh yeah, the carnival a few months back that somehow ended in bungee jumping. I'm still not sure how it happened exactly...

[once he's handed the dagger he pockets it.]

Aha, I can't say I'm surprised that happened. I do apologize if he forced you to bungee jump. He's the type to sing out his youth.

That's the understatement of the century. [she was partially at fault for allowing herself to get swept up in his charisma even if she wouldn't admit to it] I think I hear the others.

[that earns a small chuckle.] I'm sure you'll get used to it if you haven't already. I know I have. [heck, he still is.] Ah, well that's good. [a pause.] Will be able to make it back to your apartment alright? [because i'm sure he'll definitely walk her back if she has to walk all by herself.]

[she smiles sweetly at him] Mmhmm, I'll be fine. After all, I'm a Human Weapon. [she shows him a partial transformation by changing her arm into her scimitar blade for a moment then back again.]

[ah... that's....] Even so I still think it would be better if someone walked you home.

[this is a sweatdrop moment because...] Well, I guess I shouldn't tell you what my job here is then.

I think it's safe to assume.

[she smirks a little and clasps her hands behind her back, kicking her feet out playfully as she walks slowly next to him as some of the others have finally caught up to them]

[he slowly puts his hands into his pockets and walks beside her in silence.] It was nice meeting you.

I feel the same way. [She smiles looking straight ahead letting herself get absorbed into the group while still walking near him in silence]
