Characters: Zelos (
luxuriant) & Sheena (
ninjainviolet)
Location: Sheena's place!
Rating: PG aside from possible flirting comments to hide stuff yep
Time: April 30th around 11am
Description: Zelos shows up at Sheena's without any warning to talk.
He'd had a bit of time to think about how he wanted to do this, if he even had the courage to do this, and when he wanted to do this. In the end he took less time than he thought he would. Who knows why? Was he in some kind of rush? Bah...
Regardless of the how, here he was now, in front of Sheena's door. Feeling pretty ridiculous to be honest. But he put on his usual careless, happy face and knocked sharply on the door. He didn't call out because he wanted to be answered... This time.
But the moment Sheena answers the door, he sort of blanks at whatever plan of what to say he had in mind, and just waves weakly with one hand, the other resting on his hip. "Yo, Sheeeeena."

She just glares at him for several moments, the door shaking as her grip on the knob tightens. Finally, her grip lessens--her glare only marginally so--and she steps back. "Fine! Come in! But really, so far, showing up at my door unannounced sucks as an apology."
One. Two. Three...
"Wait. How did you know where I live?"
no subject
But anyway, he's going to take a few steps in, eyes immediately falling on the magazines on the couch before he pauses and crosses his arms, looking away. He'll stay standing for now. "I'm sorry! Really, I'm sorry." A pause. "You had to know that's something surprising to hear, right?"
no subject
Her gaze follows where his lands, and she crosses her arms, waiting for him to say something about the matrimonial subject matter, and is actually surprised when he doesn't. And that emotion only deepens when he does apologize, saying the words that almost put her into shock. However, she's able to remain standing, and continues to glare at him.
"Well, yeah, I am surprised," she admits. "But what exactly are you sorry for?"
gotta sleep but be back in the morning /o/
"You sure know how to kick a guy when he's down, huh." But without even referring to what he means, he continues. "I'm sorry for hanging up on you. Got it?" Make sense? Clear enough that he doesn't have to go through saying it again? He looks away again.
"...You know I didn't have any idea you were seeing anyone. This kinda all got thrown at me at once, y'know."
Sorry! Work killed me this week - mornings and evenings....
Finally remembering her manners, she picked up the stack of magazines, and gestured towards the couch, the ring on her finger giving even mopre proof of what those circulars mean. "Have a seat, Zelos. Would you like something to drink?" She asked, placing her load on the kitchen counter. After a moment, she turned to him, her expression sincere.
"Yeah, sorry about springing everything on you at once; I shouldn't have done that. Arriving here is a shock enough." She put her hands on her hips. "Although, you seem to be adjusting pretty well."
it's okay!
Yamazaki? He knew nothing about him, and the more he learned the more he disliked. Maybe he was jumping to conclusions here, but he didn't understand it at all. Finally he puts on that mask of a smirk, falling back onto the couch to look at Sheena. "You got any tea like in Mizuho?" Anything to get his mind off things, as far as he's concerned. A way to avoid speaking if only for a few seconds at a time.
He gestures one arm in a vague shrug. "What can I say? I'm an adaptable sort of guy, heheh. This stuff's a piece of cake."
Wow... tense shift and typos... Maybe I should stick to typing at night... LOL
Smiling, she heads around the counter and rummages in the cupboard. "As a matter of fact, I do. There's a tea shop in town my friend Keroro runs, and they make a large variety of teas. And coffees." She begins puttering around the kitchen, humming softly as she sets up the kettle and measures out the leaves into the cups.
Suddenly, she chuckles a bit in embarrassment. "I wish I could say the same thing. I didn't react too well when I first arrived."
I type horrible always no worries LMAO
With an even higher level of fake cheerfulness, he responds to the comment of tea and crosses his legs. Even as his eyes follow whatever animal that may cross by or Sheena's movements behind the counter, he's finding it incredibly difficult to keep trying so hard like this to hide what he really wants to say.
He does realize deep down he doesn't have a right to determine who is and isn't worthy of her. He realizes that, but...
..."Hm? How'd you react?" The question distracts him for the time being, and he asks with an actual amount of interest.
No you don't. You should see some of the things I type, then catch too late.
"Sorry about the zoo in here. The kitten's mine, and I seem to have been adopted by the other two when their owners left." There's a hint of sadness there as she explains, since the ones who had left had been friends--one surprisingly more so than she would have guessed.
And he may not have the right to determine who's worthy of her, he still has the right to be her friend, and support her and be there for her--through good and bad.
"Umm, well. I was angry." Which is more than an understatement where she's concerned.
jkglfdjs LOL
He could comment on a lot of things, but it's almost hard to. This is really tiring.
Still, he smirks even further, leaning forward from his seat. "The ever patient Sheena? Angry? How surprising!" It's clear he's teasing, and he laughs, even if it's a bit forced. "So who'd you scare, hm? Was everyone running for cover? Sounds like an event."
Like REAL late. Like a couple of days...
Giving them to others is a secondary happening, with two of her most frequent recipients still staring at her hands as they move, preparing the tea. Finally, with hands on her hips, she glares at the dogs in mock frustration. "Fine, you two, before your drool makes a puddle." With a sigh, she takes two cookies from the plate they're on, and gives them to her furry friends. "Her you go, Caramel, Yuan." Yep, she had just called one of the dogs "Yuan", Zelos.
And you know that plate of cookies? Well, it yields another into her hand, which sends it flying towards Zelos' head. He may not have wanted a cookie, but he got one anyway. "Oh, shut up, you stupid Chosen!" she said, all the while getting their tea.
"If you gotta know, I blamed you when I got here!" she told him, setting the drink in front of him on the coffee table.
at least you catch it?!
He'll just be casually dusting stray crumbs off his face now, frowning all the while. That last comment though: "What?! How could any of this be my fault!"
Not all the time. *SOB*
She takes a seat on the arm of the couch and crosses her arms. "I didn't say it was your fault! I just said I thought it was!" She chuckles darkly. "And it didn't get any better when I saw you had arrived the same time I did."
LOL /pats
"So how'd that go over? ...I don't remember it at all, so."
no subject
Suddenly, she becomes serious. "I've heard that happens around here, but I didn't think I'd ever experience it myself." She looks at him, her eyes narrowing. "It's got to be strange--especially if you've run into people who knew you from before."
no subject
The only reason he's entertaining her on the cookie question is so he can mull over that last comment a bit longer. Yeah. It is strange. But of course he's not gonna say that. "I don't know," he decides finally, shrugging a bit and shifting how he's sitting to look more relaxed. More careless. "It doesn't seem all that different from how popular I am back at home."
A beat. "Unless I'm missing out on something important?"
I like that icon!
An expression that quickly changes to one of exasperation. "Oh, for the love of Mizuho, Zelos! Don't you ever stop with the ego even for a second?"
His question brings her up short because there was something she needs to tell him. "Well, yeah. Ummm... What's the last thing you remember doing back home? Before you came here, I mean."
thanks! :>
He waves away both the offer and the ego comment. It's up for Sheena to decide which one he's really directing that too, but he can't help but look a little more serious at that question. Ah.
Drugging the stew? Yeah. That'd be a good answer, Zelos...
"We were spending the night at Altessa's. Right after that nice big meal, you know?"
You're welcome!
Hearing his answer, she gives him a somewhat understanding smile. She's from much, much further ahead than him, so not only does she know exactly what happened at that dinner, she's also got to be careful again. "I see. And that's where some problems can come up. BREW can pick people from any world at any time." She stops, letting her words sink in for a moment.
no subject
He waves away her teasing comments and the offer once again, frowning in slight annoyance as he thinks on what she said. So basically... She was hesitating. She was ahead of him, right? That had to be it. He's not stupid.
What would be stupid would be guessing how much he manages to screw up or what happens or how far ahead she really is. So instead, he just looks a little more serious as he speaks. "So you're from some time ahead of me. Is that right?"
no subject
When he finally figures out why she stopped, she uncrosses her arms and nods before standing with a sigh. "Yeah. I'm ahead of you. I have to be careful what I say around you, so if I suddenly shut up... It's not because of something you did."
She stops and looks at him. "And I'm not going to tell you specifics or anything--even if you ask me, okay?" And the fact that she isn't launching herself at him and beating the hell out of him should be a good clue that he hadn't screwed up before the time she's from.
