Description: With the arrival of a certain catfish, there are a lot of discussions to be had.

[It was strange that it had never occurred to her that any of their "enemies" might appear here in Death City. BREW certainly worked in mysterious ways if it thought someone like the Condesce would easily lend her hand to the war effort. She supposed she should at least be grateful that it had stripped her of so many of the things that would make her a dangerous foe, but considering what the Empress' mere presence could do to some of those she held dear to her, Di wasn't feeling especially thankful.

Given that their home was away from any of the free shelters where most newcomers resided it seemed the obvious choice to open up their doors to all those trolls who would be in immediate danger of the Condesce. She scrambled around making preparations for the large host of people they would be getting--thankfully she still had all the furs she had on her person upon her first arrival and they would serve as good temporary beds until they managed to get something better.

The couch had been covered in blankets and pillows, all the furs laid out before it to make a secondary bed. Drinks were pulled out in preparation and when the first knock came she quickly marched over, peeking through the glass in the center of the door before opening it up.]

[ Signless strolls into the room, rubbing at his face. his own anger is being kept in check. it isn't going to do to start anything with the witch, not with the lives of his friends and some of the kids being on the line. concern for himself? nah, of course there wouldn't be. it's just knowing that things happened after his death that he could not have predicted that made him upset at this. it had been all her doing... ]

[Di returns the hug without hesitation, holding him protectively and gently rubbing his back.]

He's right. You're here with us. Me, Kankri and Sollux. Aranea and Feferi will be here soon as well.

[Is strange how Dii's touch, gentle hand on his back, is so comforting, when Psii shies away from nearly everyone else. Is part of what family means, he thinks.

He reaches hand out to SS, too, wanting all of them together, wanting to give what comfort he can to best friend. He knows SS well enough to know any anger he feels is not for himself, but for those he cares about and the younger trolls.]

Would like to stay. Want to help keep those care for safe.

[ of course he obliges. he puts his arms around them both. here it is that they are supposed to be comforting Psii and the younger ones, but it looks like Psii and Di are both soothing over his. now Signless doesn't want to let them go. ]

We're going to be a touch cramped. Muelin and I will set something up in our room for you.

[ it would also make him feel better to have both of his friends, his family, so close at hand. like camping out again, really. ]

[she holds them close, giving all the comfort that she can, and feeling protected in turn. She only wishes the Dolorosa were still here, for they werent complete without her. Her eyes close for a moment and she nods at Signless' words.]

Almost like old times, isnt it.

[Psii wishes Rosa were still here, too, mostly for SS's sake. Has never quite understood maternal relationship, but does know they have special bond that would be source of comfort for SS.

Is starting to slowly lose feeling of dread, family's presence, as always, helping turmoil in his mind start to quiet. Can even smile slightly at Dii's words.]
