Description: With the arrival of a certain catfish, there are a lot of discussions to be had.

[It was strange that it had never occurred to her that any of their "enemies" might appear here in Death City. BREW certainly worked in mysterious ways if it thought someone like the Condesce would easily lend her hand to the war effort. She supposed she should at least be grateful that it had stripped her of so many of the things that would make her a dangerous foe, but considering what the Empress' mere presence could do to some of those she held dear to her, Di wasn't feeling especially thankful.

Given that their home was away from any of the free shelters where most newcomers resided it seemed the obvious choice to open up their doors to all those trolls who would be in immediate danger of the Condesce. She scrambled around making preparations for the large host of people they would be getting--thankfully she still had all the furs she had on her person upon her first arrival and they would serve as good temporary beds until they managed to get something better.

The couch had been covered in blankets and pillows, all the furs laid out before it to make a secondary bed. Drinks were pulled out in preparation and when the first knock came she quickly marched over, peeking through the glass in the center of the door before opening it up.]

No. Signless, Psiioniic and Sollux are here. [Which meant only Feferi remained to arrive. A little worrisome, admittedly. If she didn't arrive soon Di would go out in search of her.]

How are you feeling?

Me? Oh I'm fine. And really, I'm the last person that you should be worried about. [This was partially true, even if Aranea was hiding a little. However, Aranea was mostly worried about her other friends more than herself, and everybody else even more distally.]

I'm mostly here to see if I can be any help. And to see if Psiioniic and Feferi are safe.

[She noticed that her name wasn't mentioned...]

Feferi has unfortunately not arrived yet. [If she didn't arrive soon, Di intended to go out and find her.]

As for Psiioniic he's. [A pause and she pursed her lips a little] He's doing as well as he can, considering the circumstances. Signless and I spoke a bit with him and he's a little better than when he first arrived.

[Aranea places a warm and consoling hand on Disciple's shoulder, a warm smile spreading across her lips.]

Don't forget to tell me how you are doing, Dee.

[Aranea you are such a sweetheart. She put her hand over the one on her shoulder and gave it a fond squeeze]

I am doing well, thank you, Aranea. Concerned, but that's only to be expected. I do not think there is much the Condesce will be able to do here in Death City, with so much of her abilities sealed away so I hope this meeting will put everyone more at ease.

Why don't you come in? Could I get you some tea?

Some tea would be nice. It has been a long trip.

[Although that second comment was describing how tired thinking about everything and finding no real solutions beyond the fretting.]

I think we have a lot to talk about, and a few things to consider. There is more at stake than just the bratty actions of an immature tyrant.

[That was a mite bit ominous (a bit humorous). Di's expression turned questioning but first thing is first.

There was some tea to be made.]

Feel free to have a seat [Di indicated the nearby couch in the common room they were in. She made her way over to the kitchen and called back] Do you like any particular type?

You always liked Cameowmile, if I remember right.

[Di gave a laugh, appreciative of the pun, and unaware of who Aranea most likely was really referring to.]

Am I that obvious?

[Cameowmile it is! She has a lot of that in stock, and so she gets her french press out and busies herself with preparing it.]

[She had forgotten too. With only small traces of memories cropping here and there. Thoughts and ideas of people and places she knew she should have known yet didn't. There was comfort in Disciple's place, yet always a little pain of guilt from just not remembering.]

I've had a long time to look at everybody. You may not recall, but I was dead for a very, very long time.

[That was right. It was sad again, to hear how much they had had to sacrifice at such a young age, but now wasn't the time for such thoughts]

Apologies, it had slipped my mind. [She starts heating up some water on the stove and pulls out a packet of tea leaves]

Would you like any cream, sugar or honey?

I'll leave it to your discretion. For one thing I am your guest, and for two because assume it is your favorite you would be the expert on it's preparation.

[She paused, letting that sink in.]

And three because I am lazy and don't want to decide at this moment.

[That got a laugh out of her.]

Then be prepared to have the most delicious tea you've ever tasted.

[Meulin liked her tea fairly sweet, but she decided to go for something a bit lighter just in case Aranea didn't like sweet things much. Once down she got a cute pink saucer to accompany the tea with some biscuits and brought it out to Aranea.]

Hope you enjoy.

[Aranea would eat chalk and like it if it was made from a friend... and she was reasonably assured that Di's cooking could not be worse than Cronus'.]

I'm looking forward to it already.

[She took a sip and while definitely a bit on the sweet side, she could tell it was made with a lot of love and care.]

It tastes great.

[It gladdened Di to hear and she beamed at Aranea.]

If you ever want anything else, feel free to help yourself. Our home is your home.

[And now to get to the matter at hand.]

What was it that you meant by there being greater else at stake?

Thank you, I'm gladdened for your hospitality. [And she meant it. Her memories were still hazy, but she recalled only a few circumstances of her being the one cared for as opposed to the one caring.]

I'll be more than happy to tell you about this, but now is not the time. Once everybody has gathered and had a chance to settle I'll tell you more about her Condescension. It's a story that everybody needs to hear.

[She nods in understanding]

Then tell me about yourself. How you have been, what you have been up to. It has been a while since we last talked.

Things have been. [Hectic? Anxiety-provoking? Disturbing? Each of those things could have equally sufficed, especially after the psychopathic killer had vowed she would fall by his hand.]

Interesting.

I've had a lot to think about over the past two months or so I have been here.

Anything you'd like a listening ear for?

[Aranea smiled softly.]

Yes. But not now. You have a boy friend, a close friend, and two Peixes teens to worry about right now. My concerns aren't as immeidate.
