[Closed] Oh, what horribly big teeth you have, grandmother!
Characters: Kaitou X and Takuto Tsunashi
Location: World's End
Rating: PG? (But this is a pseudo-kidnapping...)
Time: March 19th (backdated)
Description: A lesson in why your girlfriend should never annoy a serial killer. Not because he knew where she lived, of course. But because he knew where her friends lived.
Sai leans against the wall outside the World's End, occasionally giving a smile and a wave to the people he recognized from work. They in turn immediately put their heads down and tried their very best to run without actually increasing their pace lest Sai decided to chase them and break their limbs as he had often said oh-so-sweetly that he could.
That wouldn't be for today (although Sai mentally filed them away for the day after tomorrow) because today had already been reserved for a very special someone.

Needless to say, he arrives at the World's End looking somewhat lost between angry and nervous. But as soon as he spots Sai standing there oh so nonchalantly, his eyes narrow and he makes a beeline for the pale youth.
"Well? Let's get this over with."

On his best behaviour (or at least his best facsimile of being on his best behaviour) Sai's tone is friendly and conversational, almost as if he hadn't heard Takuto, "Good morning! Takuto? It's Takuto, right?"

The pub was completely empty as Sai follows Takuto inside, it being much too early for elders who ran shady pubs to be out and about. (Not to mention the fact that Sai had asked to be given free run of the place.)
"The Major says we can use the basement so we don't get everything up here messy."
He holds the keys up with a smile as he starts walking towards the door of the basement.

"What do you mean messy?" If Sai wants to fight, he'll give him one, of course. But it isn't really what he'd been expecting from this meeting. He wants answers about Yako, after all.

He grins, a cheerful expression that doesn't match what he says next, "--it's a good place to hide a dead body, don't you think?"
no subject
Sai doesn't have any reason to want to kill Takuto, does he?
...does he?
Takuto immediately turns on the lights when they reach the bottom of the stairs. It's far too creepy to be here in the dark with the other boy.
no subject
Mostly.
Besides, he knew better than to hide a body in a basement that was so frequently used. Unless he was trying to make some kind of point. Or make his boss really mad at him.

He moves to the stage, boosting himself onto it with his legs dangling off the edge. His eyes hardly ever leave Sai. "So? What's between you and Yako?"
no subject
...would have been Sai's first answer, but he had the feeling that joke would have just gone completely over Takuto's head.
Sai doesn't move to the stage, instead choosing to pace with his hands behind his back. He doesn't mind having to look up and he likes the fact that if he wanted to, he could get moving much more quickly than Takuto could.
"In this whole city, she's the only one who knows me and I'm the only one who knows her. The real her."
no subject
"So what does that actually mean, and how are you planning to prove it?"
no subject
Sai stops pacing to tap his finger against his chin, forehead furrowed in mock-concentration.
no subject
Not nearly as sick as the idea of someone keeping her as a pet. There's a rumor he's heard about a different person who kept a girl in a birdcage, and it's a rumor he really hates.
"What."

Besides, he was still standing between Takuto and the door.
"If I said absolutely nothing, would you believe me?"
no subject
So despite how much he's hating it, he's ready for Sai to get on with the story and brag about how close he is to Yako and how Takuto is just some kind of outsider.
no subject
"How mean. Don't ask if you are going to believe me."
He tilts his head to one side, smile still cheerful, "It really isn't what you're thinking, you know. I have problems even thinking of her as a human being sometimes."
no subject
"That's... not really making any of this better, though."
no subject
"Then what would make it better? Maybe if I told you that I tried to kill her once? Or was it twice...?"
whether it connects or not is up to you~
He hardly slows as he gets closer, and then, without warning, slides his right foot back, cocks back his arm, and aims right for Sai's face.
well...he /is/ trying to make a point to Yako so...sorry, Takuto.
He doesn't want to be punched in the face today though (or any day). He dodges out of the way, hopping a bit to regain his balance, "Ah. That was dangerous. So glad I listened to the Major and used the basement."
