Don't Cry for Me... [Closed | Mission]
Characters: Team Red Hot Sexy Ossans Genesis Rhapsodos and Miles Edgeworth
Location: Argentina!
Rating: G for generally sizzling
Time: April 19, all day.
Description: People are turning on against each other in Argentina. It's time for a great mediator/fighter pair to step in!
Unlike other missions that Genesis had gone on before, this one had no particular target mentioned. No defining "ghoul" to watch out for-- just a warning that people had begun to turn on each other, turning into Kishin Eggs themselves.
That element alone was sure to make the entire mission a challenging one. It was bound to test their control, as well as their mediating skills to prevent the proliferation of even more Kishin Eggs. Viewing the chaos before them, Genesis turned to his partner.
"Looks like your ability will be put to the test here. It appears more chaotic than the incident at the carnival."

When the doors closed behind them with a click that echoed in the stillness, the prosecutor paused, then sighed in exasperation. Was their hostess so eager to meet them that she would ramp up the haunted house factor like this? This was so clichéd.
"Really." Edgeworth strode onward without even glancing back at the closed doors behind them, Rapier at the ready.

"That was kind of expected, wasn't it?"
The old house was completely silent, except for a faint singing coming from the study at one of the rooms on the second floor. It seems that there was a piano playing there, too. Genesis was curious-- if this lady was a Kishin Egg, she must be something else to be able to continue charming men. After all, most of the Kishin he had encountered were all monsters-- deformed in some way or another. He had yet to encounter one who was more human in appearance.

"It seems our hostess has other hobbies besides mesmerizing the townsfolk," he mused, more to himself than to Genesis. Of course, the music could be more than just a hobby.
This house was haunted enough with the presence of a kishin. It didn't need any more silly gimmicks. When they reached the top of the staircase with no issue, Edgeworth gazed out at the front doors from which they had come in case any of their hostess' cohorts decided to chase them down after all.

"A very cultured opponent. It would be a shame to destroy her. But I suppose it can't be helped," Genesis laughed. "Come on now. I have a feeling her minions don't think of us as a total threat. And even if they come in, better to go finish off the boss first before the little fish."

Without further ado, he pushed open the door with one hand, and then opened it all the way. He really didn't care how much noise the door made. After all, he already knew they weren't going to take her by surprise; the advance guard showed that either she knew, or suspected that she would soon be followed by agents of Shibusen. There was no point.
Edgeworth pointed the Rapier as he would his pointer finger in court, right at the only occupant of the room. Already the adrenaline was pumping through his system at the anticipation of another battle. Just another day dispatching monsters in this world in the hopes of getting stronger.
"You have the right to remain silent," he declared.

In the place of a human face was something akin to a white mask, and as she rose, more of her inhuman features came to light: the dress seemed to be melded into her skin, and her limbs seemed to have an unnatural length and slimness-- almost as if she was some kind of living mannequin. At first, it didn't seem as if she would be that much of a threat, but when one of her unnaturally long arms suddenly extended and shot out at the pair like a spear, it became clear what she was capable of.

Gritting his teeth at the sensation of impact and keeping himself from reacting too much, he scrambled to get up again, facing their opponent - the elusive woman who had charmed so many men to fight for her. With both hands now on the hilt of the broadsword, Edgeworth ran forward, Weapon poised to cleave Eva diagonally.

But Edgeworth's not so graceful evade aside, Genesis let their resonance flare up as they moved to slide her diagonally. Unfortunately, though, this Kishin Egg seemed to be more slippery than expected. She darted away from their attack then tried to counter with a swipe of one of her long limbs.

So he broke away from her, leaped back and circled, looking for another opening.
Perhaps if he chopped her limbs off first...

Edgeworth didn't hesitate. As the kishin egg cried out, he charged forward, concentrating on delivering the killing blow. She attempted to dodge and screeched as the prosecutor closed in on her, but to no avail. The kishin kicked out at him, but missed. The last thing she would ever see was the shining red blade, and the last thing she would hear was Edgeworth shouting as he slashed her from her left shoulder all the way to her right side.
"Take that!"

Genesis transformed out of his weapon form then, and moved towards the egg. As he usually did, he took it by its tail of sorts, and ate it. He tended to make sure no one really watched the actual eating. He thought of it as a really nasty thing to do. But someone has to do it.
"That was a good finish, Edgeworth."
no subject
"As long as we finish her off before she finishes us off, I would call it a victory." Any finish, in the end, was a finish and was what they wanted.

Genesis then began walking towards the manor's exit, letting Edgeworth follow at his own pace as they made their way back to the mirror through which they came through.
