Description: CR-S01 is in his office working when he gets a visitor




It was nice and quiet in the clinic. That was something he enjoyed about being here. The only sounds he heard was when there was a patient or Rosalia happened to be performing inventory or something of that nature. Taking charge and actually proclaiming that he would run this clinic with somebody else...it never even crossed his mind that it would be a bad decision at all. He wanted to help people no matter what. The life he had in prison was not here. It was his opportunity to do what made him actually feel like a person again.

As it was, today was a slow day and he found himself in his office going over a few records in the clinic. There had not been many missions as of late, so the influx of injuries seemed to be much lower than usual. That was his ideal. No complaints with him over that. Something a doctor wanted as an ideal was for there not to be too many people hurt if at all. Though he had not been here long, he found himself becoming used to the injuries that came through. Many of them were surface or internal based on lacerations and exposure to the elements. The occasional internal bleeding came through. No matter what the injury though, he was always concerned with even the smallest of cuts.

Well that was certainly to the point. He could not argue with somebody who knew what they wanted. Since he had no current patients to be checking up on, he could very well spend some extra time teaching the basics. Digging into one of the drawers at his desk, he withdrew a first aid kit and set it down in front of him. He gestured for her to come over as he laid down what he had in the kit between them on the surface of the desk.

"Is there a particular area of it you wanted to focus on?"

She moved to stand in front of the table. The contents of the first-aid kit wasn't unfamiliar. When she and Keroro joined the Watch they had each been given one to take with them, after all.

I'm not very good at bandaging." That's one thing she would like to work on more if she could.

After putting everything in its place, he sorted the bandages off to the side as well as the assorted disinfectants and even the needle and thread he happened to have in there. It was more of something he had on him because he was accustomed to using it for the more serious wounds. As he had explained to Rosalia, there was always the added aspect of knowing how to do a simple stitch and to practice it with something not unlike skin.

Perhaps it was best to mention the basics first off though.

"It is important that you bind a wound correctly. If it is too tight then you end up causing more harm than good. If you will give me your arm then I will show you and allow you to do the same to my arm."

Eve nodded and rolling up her sleeve held out her arm to CR-S01.

It was clear from her expression that she was listening carefully, almost focussing on him single-mindedly.

With so many of the people here that possibly did not understand basic first aid to a degree, he kept a lot of extra bandages around. It was a good thing they were not too difficult to come by. Carefully he began to wrap that arm that was offered to him.

"It is important to make it tight enough to stop the bleeding, but cutting off blood supply to the area will do more harm than good. It can take some practice."

She flexed her fingers thoughtfully. "What if it starts to bleed through?"

"Hopefully it will not. If there is a significant amount of bleeding then it is important to put some pressure on that wound before you wrap. If it begins to bleed through then you add additional bandaging to it."

Ideally the bleeding would stop when a bandage touched it, but he knew that was wishful thinking much of the time.

"All you can really do is stop it as much as you can and get them immediate assistance as soon as possible."

"...I understand." She can sort of see why Creed wanted to have at creepy doctor around now. A power like the one he had was a lot more efficient than standard first aid.

...and for that matter, she can see why when they created her they made it so that the nano machines in her body could speed up her natural healing process. But, not having either here, she would need to make do with what she had.

"Can I try?"

It was unfortunate that there was no instant cure all when it came to medicine in all worlds. If there was such a thing then CR would take it in a heartbeat. He might be out of work if he did not have such an ability himself, but the health of others was much more important.

Though he did find his own abilities as a Meister manifesting the longer he had held onto her arm. He did not allow it to show in his face that he was able to get a clear image of her own health at the time. Seeing such things instantly was not so jarring any longer.

"Of course you can."

He held out his own arm to her.
