Description: The "attraction" was quite the hit last time. Who will you find yourself shacked up with now?

The island the Bazaar sits on is certainly big, but who thought they'd be able to fit an entire river on top of it? The line for the ride is just as large as you'd think it'd be, and it's been split in two with a tall screen to prevent people in both sides from seeing the other.

The staffers operating the line don't seem to care about making it grow; they're literally pulling people unlucky enough to wander too close and shoving them in a line before they can protest. You could try to get away, but the rest of the crowd's pushing impatiently forward and before long, you're up.

You might as well just get it over with. Hopefully the company's nice.

Di had always been a rather affectionate creature, but that had only doubled since their reunion. The touch of someone you loved, whether it was a simple caress or something far more intimate was something sacred in her mind and she had gone for so long without it. In all honesty sometimes she felt a little embarrassed, and a little greedy with how much of Signless' attention she demanded.

She shifted in her seat, bringing up a knee onto the cushiony bench so she could lean against Signless, cupping his face, and deepening the kiss. Unfortunately as much as it seemed like they were the only two in the world, Di knew that was only a temporary illusion and that the ride would only last so long. After a moment she finally pulled back, and pressed her forehead to his, eyes bright and wide and smile mischievous.

Shit, I just wanted to buy some dango. For who is this carnival for, eh? The entertainers have all the fun here!

[Pfffffffft!

[ ... Like anything decent?

What kind of word was that meant to be, using it in a context like this?! What did he think people did in this sort of thing-- oh god, he better not be getting the wrong idea, what exactly was he thinking right now?!

Okay, Ange, deep breaths, deep breaths.. ]

You just sit in a boat as then it's moved over a river through a tunnel. [ There was something almost oddly forced about the way she said it though.. ] It's supposed to be.. well, romantic or whatever.

[tauborn]

Wait, what are we in line for?

[He's only been watching for roller coasters and fun games and he was easy to push into line because he'd been distracted.]

The...the, um...

{She can't look at him without blushing like an idiot. So she doesn't.}</small} The Tunnel of Love. I think.

[tauborn]

[He chokes a little on the air.]

O-oh. W-well... that's... not... bad, r-right?

[Though he's feeling very nervous all of a sudden.]

[Takuto was still feeling pretty good after his date with Yako, and he hadn't been paying attention to where he'd been going. Before he knew what was happening, he'd been pushed into a line that was uncomfortably familiar.

He's sure he's seen his screen before, but it's too late to get out. The bouncers are pushing more people into line behind him, and in a few more moments, he's faced with one of the cute little boats and... Kaworu?!]

[itaidakimasu]

Of...of course it isn't! Why would it be? I-I mean...this sort of thing is...normal, right?

{Not that she would know normal if it smacked her across the face with an oar.}

[Before he has time to really react, they are shunted into different lines, separated by a screen. So he's left to his own devices, feeling awkward with the rest of the nervous guys, trying to see on the other side of the screen.

Fortunately, the line moves pretty quickly and in no time at all he's climbing into the boat, turning red and wondering exactly what he was going to do....]

{After a few nerve-wracking moments on the other side of the fence during which the other girls seemed to sense the First Date on her and shared perfume and breath mints (despite her protests) she ends up stumbling a little when she gets in the boat.

It doesn't rock a lot, but enough to knock her into a position far closer to him than she had planned. The ride starts be fore she has a chance to casually scoot away.}

[kaworu approaches the boat much more gracefully, without anyone having to push him forward, and he's eyeing the vessel curiously for a few moments before he realizes that there's someone else that is supposed to ride with him.]

Ah, Takuto. Hello. [you could possibly blame his casual attitude on not knowing what this sort of ride was intended for, but to be fair he probably would be just as relaxed even if he knew.] It is a two person ride, then?

[It was one thing to be kicked out of a carnival attraction for causing a violent disturbance... but it was another thing entirely to be shooed away for being extremely unsettling. And here he'd thought he was sitting in rapt attention, listening to that shoddy fortune-teller try to scry his past, present, and potential future.

It was the grin, wasn't it?

But Lezard had had enough of the carnival. Having seen what he wished to see, he was prepared for the trek back to the gondolas, to return to Death City and retire for the evening. But that was when hands grasped his cloak, causing his eyes to narrow and his hand to raise instinctively; for a split second trying to conjure a swell of magic power and cast a bout of punishment for the fool who dared--

--And he was unceremoniously shoved into the line, colliding with his partner for... whatever attraction this was.]

[tauborn]

[He tries to awkwardly catch her bu it's hard to do so when the boat is rocking and the current starts pushing them on their way.]

Y-you okay?

[He feels like he should say something before he darkness of the tunnel swallows them. And he feels a strange pant because he knows he wants to see her face and it's not fair if he's expected to kiss her in the dark.

So he just ends up blushing and not quite looking at her as he takes her hand and holds it.]

... Uh... yes. [He can't figure out if it's better or worse that Kaworu doesn't seem to know what he's getting into.]

This is... Wait, what were you doing in the other line? [Wasn't the other line for girls? Or does Kaworu... swing the other way? His blush deepens at the thought.]

[itaidakimasu]

I-I'm fine.

{She squeezes his hand and presses her cheek against his shoulder, trying to stamp down her fluttering nerves. She's not sure if she welcomes the darkness or if it makes her even more nervous.}

You?

[tauborn]

M-me? I'm fine of course.

[And by fine he means that his heart is pounding as she snuggles close and he's not sure how all this is going to play out. Is this really what it means to sing out his youth?]

Good.

{It's dark now, silent except for the slap of water on wood and faint sounds filtering back from the boat ahead of them. Yako feels herself calm, now, and she squeezes his arm slightly.}

So...having fun so far?

That was just the line I was put into. Was it meant to be split by gender? [now that he thinks about it, there were a lot of girls on his line...]

Yeah. [Even though it's dark and his eyes haven't quite adjusted yet, he smiles in her direction.] I've been having a great time. You too, right?

[He leans into her, starting to relax a little even though he was also starting to feel kind of... excited.]

Oh, I... I'm not sure. [Maybe the bouncers just did what they wanted? But a tunnel of love seemed like something that would either be split by gender or sexual orientation.

But regardless, Takuto gets swathed in a sense of awkwardness as the light disappears and they float into the tunnel.]

{Yako's other hand comes up to rest gently against his chest. She actually feels a bit...bold now.}

Absolutely. Thank you, Takuto-kun. I'm really happy you agreed to be with me.

...Is it just a boat ride? The staffers seemed rather...insistent. [it seems like just a boat ride as far as he can tell, and a fairly pleasant one at that. the little boat moves slowly and the dim light is nice after so much of that hot desert sun recently.

perhaps it's just meant to help people meet others? that would explain the screen. if so, it's a little disappointing that he ended up being paired with someone he already knew. but then, a ride with an existing friend is nice as well.]

[His chest tightens a lot more than her slight touch warrants.]

I still can't believe sometimes that you really want to be with me. But... I'm glad you do.

[He hesitates for just a moment, and then leans towards her. He can feel her breath against his neck and he can't seem to manage more than a whisper anymore.] And it's just Takuto, remember?

[tauborn]

Kaworu. This is... the Tunnel of Love. [Its too much to ask for Kaworu to know what that means, isn't it. He'll just be carefully staring at the dark water and trying to not think about how Kaworu is actually a pretty attractive guy and if he weren't involved wih Yako and very committed to not messing that up, then he might not mind at all showing he other boy what this boat ride was really about.]

[he glances over to takuto, none too bothered by the dark, and eyes him curiously for a long moment.]

...It is a nice name. [but humans have all kinds of weird rules about love and that is probably why takuto's acting strangely, really.] Is that a problem?
