Yamazaki ran out of his apartment with the still turned on communicator in one hand. He wasn't able to think of small things like locking the door or taking up more appealing clothes. Sheena waited for him in the very building he lived. she was here! And she was ready to go out with him! His heart sang a gloomy song of a soldier leaving his homeland en route to the war and death...It did not fit to the occasion but these kind of songs were Yamazaki's favorites. When he arrived at the third floor he stopped at Sheena's door, took a deep breath, and...took another deep breath...he raised up his hand...and tugged his messy hair...and then he knocked the door very quickly and turned away!

[Zaki waits for a few moments, he's not sure about how should he put in words what he wanted to say.]

Zaki? What is it? What's wrong?

[He gasps and looks at Sheena, his face is serious and a bit sad, but he smiles.]

Could you love two person equally at the same time? One who you'd live with, having kids and spending sweet times together and another one from the distance like...that person was a dream?

I'm in love with someone else, too, and it doesn't count how much I try to forget about him, I can't. It doesn't mean I don't love you. I do love you, I do want to marry you, I want a family and all the family-related things with you, but I love him.

I...I guess it's better if I turn off this mirror now.

I would never ask you to forget him, Zaki. You don't do that to someone you love because every person you meet stays with you in one way or another, and if you forget them, then you lose a part of yourself.

Zaki! [She blushes and laughs with surprise. She's always been flustered by compliments.]

[Zaki looks at Sheena with an apologizing expression and a moment later he starts to laugh]

I am good at insulting, too!

[She shakes her head and continues to smile even as she blushes harder.]

Now, cut that out! [She's laughing as she says that.] You didn't do anything to apologize for! I'm not insulted.

If you continue being so pretty you'll be harassed, though.

[Yamazaki mutters, and he doesn't look at Sheena.]

[She puts a hand on his arm, and tries to meet his eyes. She's been harassed before.]

I'll be fine, Zaki. I can handle it, so it'll be okay. You have nothing to worry about.

[Zaki had no idea about Sheena was being harassed. When he talked about harassing he thought of himself. No one but he has the right to touch Sheena! He looks worried as he turns to the girl.]

How do you mean you can handle it? How do you know? Were you...? Did someone...? Who...?

[ WHO? ]

[Oh boy... She hadn't meant it like that...]

Zaki, my Grandpa taught me how to fight--and I've put those skills to use in battle. That's how I know I can handle it.

[Not to mention all that practice with smacking Zelos in the head.]

Huh... do you have any idea how much you scared me?

[Zaki doesn't want to sound too reproachful. It's not Sheena's fault that he misunderstood her. But now he's high on adrenaline and wants to hurt someone who caused harm -any kind of harm- to Sheena.]

I...didn't mean to. I just wanted to let you know you didn't have to worry about me.

But, but now I'll do. Til now I didn't really think over the mater, but from now it will be always on my mind that someone would harm you when I am not with you...

[Zaki gently pulls a bang of Sheena's hair.]

[She looks up and gives him a soft smile.]

Well, they can try, but, if I were you, I'd be more worried about them if they do...

...and I somehow get the feeling you wouldn't give anyone the chance to do so when you are here.

[Said softly and lovingly--despite her feelings of not wanting to be the damsel in distress.]

[Zaki makes a grimace then he smiles back at Sheena.]

No, they can't try it. It's not allowed to take a bad look at you, or I...I'll object. Yes. I would not give a chance to anyone to do anything bad to you.

[And awful scenes like Ryuzaki vs. Yamazaki would happen again. No one needs it, so t's better if all the ill minded womanizers stay away from Sheena!]

[Sheena looks at him, concerned.]

Zaki, you can't get angry at someone just for looking at me the wrong way! They just might not like what I'm wearing or how I wear my hair, or that I carry a weapon. Besides, strange looks don't really bother me too much...

...unless they make a stupid comment at the same time.

[Or if she knows the person and can tell what the look is saying.]

[Zaki frowns.]

But they don't have the right to judge you, or anyone else just because you, or anyone else is wearing dark clothes, carries a weapon and so on. What kind of thinking it is? Judging someone right after the first sight...and making stupid comments is very impolite. Unless they can't do anything but stupid comments.

[She shakes her head. How can she say this?]

No, they have the right to their opinion. Just because they don't like what I'm wearing doesn't mean they don't like me. It's possible they're thinking it wouldn't look right on them.

[She pauses.]

But, if they make a comment about say, my intelligence, based on that, then yes, I'd get angry.

You can't assume something about a person by how they look, Zaki. It works both ways.

[Wait, are they just having a conversation about serious subjects, just like couples do?]

Yes, everyone has the right to have their opinion and it's okay to tell it if it doesn't sound like an insult. Like, um, I think that letting your hair floating freely around your shoulders would make you even prettier than you are now, if it's possible. But even if I am right, telling something like: "Do something to your hair, you look like a walking eggplant, I'm all embarrassed when we're together in public!" would be rude and it's better if I said nothing. Don't you think so?

[And anything who would tell something about Sheena's intelligence is a walking eggplant!]
