Bakura had barely been home long enough to take off his shoes and set down his groceries (and new assortment of first aid supplies) before going back out into the hall to knock on the door across from his.

"Ryuzaki-kun? It's me... are you in?"

"Being so obsessed with fantasy, you're surprisingly naive when it comes to the point of it. Myth and legend serve purposes, and they're not just to delight the sort of boy who hides in his room with his friends and his dice. They were originally developed to explain the unexplainable or the frightening. Pain, death, sacrifice... every culture has stories that make ample use of metaphor to make these things more relatable. So when I say 'monster', or 'dragon', what I mean is 'intimidating opponent'."
