Description: Saya's and Sendo's mission.


Saya is obviously nervous. It's her second official mission and she is afraid something will go wrong because of the lack of experience - sure, Sendo is a boxer, and he has fought Kishin eggs before but it doesn't matter because she is still worried - and they are the only pair in the area. If something goes wrong, they will have to deal with it without any help. But of course, she wants to be confident too. And is trying to.

Moapa town. It's a small place. "It can't be that hard to find the kishin egg."

Sendo never got nervous at a time like this. He just became increasingly more excited at the thought of entering battle. He didn’t foresee anything going wrong, but there was no way he could possibly predict that. In battle scenarios, things could change in the blink of an eye and the tables could turn just as fast.

“Shouldn’t be, but stay on guard. The thing could be waiting just to ambush us.” Just because it was small didn’t mean the thing didn’t have enough places to hide.

"We don't have the upper hand in this." it wasn't their town, the kishin egg knew it better, and Saya assumed it knew they were there already.

"Our best chance is crippling the kishin egg first." to be honest, Saya wasn't all that confident on a perfect attack. her weapon ability worried her. At the same time, her weapon form was perfect. "After crippling the thing, you can either move in for a closer range attack or keep distance. That's up to you, since you can use me as a weapon or as a club."

A deep sigh, before she turned to Sendo. "Let's go find it."

Having the upper hand in a situation had never stopped him before. There were certain precautions that they could take to stop the thing from getting the jump on them. If they could avoid that, then they’d be mostly on level playing ground.

“I know, I know. You don’t have to tell me. These things can be pretty quick. And I don’t feel like chasing it all around this town.” He started forward.

“You want to transform now or wait until we find the thing?” He asks as he looks over his shoulder to her.

"It's better if I save energy." she didn't want to leave Sendo unprotected, but he had his fists and strength. Even if got by surprise, he could defend himself until she got to him; and if the kishin attacked her, she just had to turn.

Saya looked around. The town was silent, so that meant people were inside their places. Perhaps they knew the kishin egg was too close, so they were taking cover. She remained silent, trying to listen to anything.

She didn't like this. At all.

Sendo felt that as long as he had his fists, there was no way he could be left unprotected. He didn’t want to think about what kind of situation he could be involved in where he’d lose them as an option, though.

“Alright. Just stick close.” He fell silent as well to listen out. Trying to hear even the slightest sound that might indicate that something, anything was near them.

Saya did stick close to him. As close as she could. While she didn't reach to grab onto his shirt to avoid getting in his way, she felt like doing so.

And at a sudden noise, she turned her head behind and that's when the saw their enemy suddenly rushing towards them "Sendo!" her hand reached for Sendo's, so she'd transform.

Sendo reached out to Saya and took her hand and started to spin around. When she transformed, he pulled her in front of him and took aim at the enemy behind them while simultaneously leaping backwards to put some distance between them just in case they were too close. He wasn’t going to charge at the thing until they at least got a good look at it and gauge just how dangerous it was.

Saya focused on their resonance; Sendo's confidence always helped her own, and now that she was facing the enemy, all she wanted was to face it and defeat it. There was no way she'd lose to that damn thing.

The girl eyed the kishin and still rushed towards them "Shoot!" it'd be normal bullets for now, at least.

Sendo fired off a flurry of bullets at the kishin as it rushed forward. He didn’t know if the bullets would be enough to halt its advancement, but if it got close enough then he would just use Saya as a melee weapon to battle it at close range.

They were enough to cause pain, but even so the kishin still struck. Saya was going to tell Sendo to pull back, but she remembered he was a close range combatant so he'd probably be able to handle it.

Sendo easily dodged the strike from the kishin egg, and while he was dodging, he switched up his hold on Saya so he was gripping her by the barrel. He used the chance afforded to him by the dodge to swing Saya at the things head with full force.

When Saya struck, she focused harder; it's not that she'd become stronger, but she didn't want to lose it now. The kishin stepped back, and that's when the girl remembered.

"Sendo! Shoot its face!"

That was what Sendo had been planning to do. He flipped the gun and held his finger over the trigger while he trained the shot quickly on its face. He focused and pulled the trigger.

The shot was not a regular bullet, but that blast of energy they managed to use once before. She also became lighter, there was no recoil this time, and the kishin's face was becoming putrid. And melting. This wasn't just loss of skin; some of the muscle was affected too.

This caused the enemy to stumble back, screaming in pain. "Hit it!"

Sendo was still trying to get used to that sight. As effective as her ability was, it would never not be disgusting. Sendo's hold on her switched up again and he swung her butt at the things face with even greater force than last time.

And it got even more disgusting when it hit the kishin's face because blood (maybe something else?) fell off it. Saya didn't care, or at least she fought not to; first, they had to kill the thing, then she'd worry.

"Again!"

Still zero hesitation on Sendo's part as he stepped forward again to make sure it got the full force of the blow as he swung Saya at it again. And he followed that up by swinging her again, and again and again. He wasn't letting up on the thing.

And the hits eventually brought the kishin down, stopping it from moving. And finally, all they needed was a final blow, on least shot. "Shoot at it" though this time, Saya would focus so her hit would be of a normal bullet and not the "melting faces" kind; that is, if it was even possible.

Sendo flipped Saya around again and went for the finishing blow. He put Saya's barrel up close to the thing and then he pulled her trigger again, letting her bullets go flying at the fallen kishin egg.

The first shots were the same kind of bullets, but soon they turned into regular shots. So she could decide what kind of bullets to use, as long she focused.

The last bullets finally killed the kishin.

Sendo grinned and clinched Saya before raising her up in the air. "Yeah! We kicked that things ass!" Though, as he was loosening his grip to bring her back down..she slipped out of his hand and fell onto the ground. Oops.

And when she fell, of course Saya screamed "Sendo!"

Saya was about to scream some more, when something called her attention and she turned to the Kishin. Apparently, it's body begun transforming and eventually it turned into a soul.

She was going to have to eat that.
