"Water or tea," he answered as he continued to just relax and sit in the chair. Yes, this was definitely a nice respite after all that time in the water.

Bo-ring.

But whatever, there technically isn't anything wrong with that, so Clover just shrugs to acknowledge. It really is a nice respite, too, so she leans back as she continues drinking her lemonade-- and continues to people-watch.

Maybe she'll even see some familiar faces...

Kid was just getting lost in his own thoughts. Now that he was not worrying about being pushed in or hassled by other people, it was the first time where he had a bit of time to himself—well with company of course.

So he remained silent. ...Though he was also watching the people by the people—if for different reasons. Perhaps if he saw someone else trying to push someone else in he could find the culprit...
fourleafbrat: (:O um...)

what do you think of ending this with them chasing after the unnamed culprit? :>

[personal profile] fourleafbrat 2012-08-17 08:35 am (UTC)(link)
Not entirely different reasons. The culprit would still count as a familiar face, as Clover is confident she'd recognize him if she saw him-- however briefly their encounter had been before. Not that she's really looking specifically, but... hey, it counts for something.

He's right, though. Seeing someone push someone else in would be a pretty nice smoking gun of sorts.

...Which is why her eyes widen at the sound of a brief scream, subsequently drowned out by a big splash of the person hitting the water.

Was that--?
perfectorder: (☠ world so cold)

works for me! XD

He saw it at the same time and was already rising out of his seat.

"That damn little—"

Yes, Kid really did just say that, and he was starting to step back from the table, as if ready to run—er, walk very quickly to where the person was trying to make their escape.

Bad luck for them to have picked the wrong person to push in—Kid had locked onto his soul and no amount of crowd weaving was going to save him now.
fourleafbrat: (haha you're cute)

sweet! this should do it then, but feel free to get in the last word if you need. and ty <3

She's thrown off only for a moment at hearing him curse. He seems kind of unpredictable, even as a leader of Death City, but she can kind of see where this is going; so briskly, she grabs her drink with a smirk as she watches him storm off. She follows at her own pace, a slower one, since she isn't in any rush--

And she'll even do him the courtesy of grabbing his drink too, abandoned at the table. He'll thank her for it later, she's sure. But for now, she's just going to enjoy the show.

Honestly, there's no other one she'd rather be watching.
perfectorder: (☠ now's your chance)

pfff i'll just do this to seal the deal <33

And the show would be epic for there was nothing better than an annoyed leader of Death City giving a brat a sound talking down to and making them feel like lower than dirt.

...And there may have been a tackle to the ground when the prick tried to flee but whatever, whatever. The scolding and reprimand was more important.
