Atta boy, Kanji.

Seeing Kanji swimming upwards, Kid followed close behind before surfacing. Once there, he faced him and started the reprimand that Kanji likely expected from the very beginning.

"Not so fun when it's done to you now is it?"

Once up, he wiped his hair away from his eyes and pulled up his goggles, waiting for Kid to come up. Once he did, he wrinkled his nose.

"Man, you're a shitty shark. Y'gotta make a run for it after you pull somebody down, y'know."

But that wasn't Kid's intention. That he knew. He shrugged and played it off like he wasn't bothered. "'s how the game goes! I wondered when somebody would catch me."

"You shouldn't be grabbing people's ankles and dragging them down to begin with," he only continued.

"The point of this excursion is for everyone to enjoy themselves and this would only make the younger aged visitors afraid of getting in the water."

Perhaps not, but at this point he was just annoyed and it technically a valid reason.

"Not to mention the risk of you accidentally pulling someone who may react badly and end up drowning."

Now this was a more plausible reason. But regardless—

"Your so called 'shark days' are over, Kanji."

"Tch..." Kanji's expression turned sour, and he looked away.

"Yeah well, nobody drowned! I wasn't grabbin' people who couldn't swim. You're just pissed that I got you!"

"You were still grabbing innocent bystanders. If they were people you knew, then fine."

And he pointedly ignored the last statement.

"They were, damn it!" ...Most of them. But every reaction was pretty much priceless.

And with that, he pulled down his goggles again.

"Guess I'll do laps or somethin'. Killjoy."

He heard that, but he like he usually did, he chose to ignore it.
