[OPEN] June 2012 Intro Log
Characters: OPEN
Where: Inside Shibusen - The Tour
Rating: Gen
Time: March 1 onwards
Description: Welcome to Death City! Ignore the sand.
It’s one of those days when the BREW starts making the weird energy readings it gives when about to pull people into Death City. Shibusen prepares the place as usual, setting up their tables, the communicators, and calling for the agents who kindly volunteered every time this happened.
Just before the BREW starts, however, a cloud of sand rolls over the city and covers it in darkness, dust, and wind, going high enough to envelop even Shibusen on top of its normally safe location overlooking the city. The alarms go out, the residents quickly retreat to shelter, and Shibusen...
Needless to say, Shibusen isn’t happy about this, and resignedly prepares the dorms instead.
ooc: Player characters will also be joining the log. Everything after the sub thread Dormitories is open to all characters, and people are free to make their own threads. Please put a header on it: [NAME][LOCATION][OPEN/CLOSE]

Raidou looked around. Now that he could see the place properly, the disconnected pieces began to come together in his head. This was where he had first appeared, and later gone to classes... There was a library somewhere in here too, and the room that held the BREW. The latter had been broken into once, he recalled, back when he was still a newcomer. That had been his first big case here, as a member of the... the... That's right, the Kuzunoha Detective Agency. Where he had worked with everyone else.

He reached up and ran his fingers through his hair. Ugh, he was going to take the longest shower later. Who knows how much sand was gonna come off of him?
"Either way... s'good to see you in one piece, man. Lotta people were pretty down in the dumps when they heard BREW sentcha back. Y'might wanna touch base with 'em; I should get back out there, see who else that thing tossed out there."

Why did BREW take him home and back again, this time with his memories mostly intact? The device never ceased to confuse, it seemed.
"Yes... I should find them. You said Shibusen has rooms set up here?" That would be the first place to look, probably.

But with this storm, and hell raining down on their heads every few days, windows of time to gather information were pitifully small. He wished he was more of a planner, a strategic sort that could swoop in and make some headway in knowing more about... all of this: This place, this war, and just how deeply that creep was rooted. Kanji would not let that bastard get away.
But right now, people needed to keep in touch, stay together. He'd lost two good friends today, sent home thanks to BREW, but he still had some left. He'd do everything he could for them while he physically could.
"Yup. The dorms're down the hall. They got tabs on the doorknobs markin' rooms that ain't taken yet," he replied, pulling up that scarf again, pulling down those goggles. A man's work was never done.

Raidou wasn't sure how to feel about being back in Death City again, but reagrdless, he wasn't one to stand around in confusion for long. He would just have to shift his focus from the case at the Capital to Shibusen's war.
Find his old friends, rest, then figure out what to do next; that seemed as good a plan of action as any.
"Thank you for rescuing me, Tatsumi-san. Please be careful."

But he'd had his fair share of stints in the clinic in his scant two months of being in Death City alone. Maybe he was reckless.
Just a little.
Instead he nodded, braced himself, and pushed open the door to step out. The roaring winds, the dust and sand, filled his vision once again. He could get a little rest when he was done, damn it!
He slipped out without another word, closing the door behind him.
