[OPEN]

Characters: OPEN
Location: Outskirts of Nevada
Rating: PG
Time: All day, Feb 27
Description: Shibusen offers a field trip to acclimate the guests to the Madness wavelength.

It's a perfectly pleasant day for the most part, if one is to look at the sky and maybe the horizon. For the attendees of the fieldtrip, however, things are naturally a lot more grim, if also lot more colorful. There are understandably no civilians in the area -- or any other signs of life apart from the group.

As promised, the location is extensively arranged to cordon off various areas of the place where Madness spikes have been identified. They are all properly labeled, both with text and visuals, and discreet agents kept an eye on all corners of the large field. The mirror by which the guest will come in is set in a corner, with some food provided next to it.

People are free to come and go, though the other end leads to the clinic instead of the Death Room. The rules are simple: venture into a level you think you can handle, and if you can't, someone will help.

In the afternoon, a light rain will come to add some variety to the endless desert. Make sure to take shelter in the open tents provided to protect you from the elements!

[ooc: Just put in open tags in the comments, [Character Name | Open/Close | Area/sort of madness targeted/whatever marker you want].

He decided that it was best not to comment on Cloud's observation. Doing so would only implement in matters that he wanted to remain aloof over, even if it appeared to be Cloud's main focus in life these days. The thought secretively amused him and he found himself rather enjoying the little game between them.

The shiver was felt, however, and he smirked lightly in return. He always did enjoy those types of reactions out of his partner. "That's something that I would never forget," Sephiroth smoothly said in return. "She is just fortunate that she's a feline."

He knew that he had given himself away based on the smirk that Sephiroth offered him, and he leaned up to bump his lips against the underside of the silver-haired man's chin. "Well, much like you, she apparently has nine lives. I'd have thought you'd like her more for that."

His fingers dug into the leather at the small of Sephiroth's back. He rose a little more on his toes, placing his lips by the ex-General's ear. "We could head back to the apartment to check on her." Even if his tone suggested something far more intimate.

Sephiroth could feel his lips quirk at the mention of nine lives. If Cloud was counting, then he had already lost some on his counter, but there were still many more left. It was odd to him that he didn't want to lose anymore. In the past he never thought about the loss of his life. His arrogance had kept him from doing so. While it remained with him, he now had something to lose and that was unacceptable to him.

He made a soft sound of pleasure when those fingers dug into his leather. Tilting his head towards those lips, the mako within his gaze flared with intent while he passed an appreciative hand down along his partner's back. He heard that tone, and knew well what it meant.

"I'm certain that she's caused some form of trouble," Sephiroth murmured before forcing himself to pull away from being so close to Cloud. He didn't need to be out here any longer, and there were far more entertaining prospects catching his attention now.

He knew the exact moment that Sephiroth took interest in his suggestion, feeling the stir in the ex-General that matched his own. He shifted under the hand sliding down his back, not wanting to be too obvious in public, even if everyone else was intent on the madness.

"Mmm, we'll have to go and check on her," he replied as he allowed Sephiroth to let him go. He held onto the hand still so that the madness wouldn't affect his partner and began to lead the way back to the mirror as the exercise was clearly over for today. They had other matters to attend to now.
