[CLOSED]
Characters: Hisoka and Hades
Location: The park
Rating: M...for the crazy magician
Time: February 23, morning
Description: Hisoka and Hades have a meet 'n' greet
Hisoka had finally managed to get out of the hospital after threatening the staff, and he was glad not being surrounded by a bunch of whiny weaklings. Covered in bruises, burns and bandages, Hisoka made his way to one of his preferred places - the nearby park.
It was easy enough to find a secluded place to train, where he wouldn't be badgered by stupid people with stupid questions. He started stretching slowly at first, ignoring the sharp pain flaring from his broken ribs and fingers, and the pulling of the cuts on his torso and legs. He had one focus right now. I will kill those witches for what they did. His eyes flashed in anger before Hisoka caught himself, and resumed his regular look of amusement.
Confident of his abilities despite his multiple injuries, Hisoka began to lazily punch and kick the air, slowly building up speed until his movements began to almost blur into each other. Hisoka ignored the screaming pain from his ribs. Pain was something that you controlled. Only weak people let it control them.

One of his ears twitched lightly and then his middle pair of them flicked backwards as he heard somebody come close but remain on the other side of the bushes, where that person started moving. Judging from the sound it was a human. Hades considered for a moment whether or not he should pay more attention to it, but then he turned his head after all only to catch that short flash of pure rage in Hisoka's eyes.
'Oh?' The corners of Hades' lips curved upwards as he kept watching, his dark eyes turning a shade darker as his natural sadism was triggered. Maybe this was something that would entertain him for a little while.
Not bothering to stand up, he spoke with an amused tone in his voice. "A penny for your thoughts."

“In the extremely rare occurrence that I would sell my thoughts, it would be for a far greater amount,", he replied in a similar amused voice, flicking one hand, a smirk gracing his lips.
He studied the seated figure on the other side of the bushes. Interesting. Hades had a similar build to Hisoka - tall, given the length of his legs while seated, and lean. His hair was long and black as the darkest abyss. He looked to be around Hisoka's age as well, but, as Hisoka was well aware, looks could be very deceiving.
The thing Hisoka found the most interesting though was the the curled horns protruding through the mass of hair.
Hnn...this one could prove to be fun, he mused to himself.
"Sadly, my thoughts are currently not for sale," Hisoka said casually in the same amused droll. "You may want to work on your bargaining skills."
FIXED! Sorry about the confusion!

He gave the human time to take in the unusual shape of his body before he finally graced him with an answer. He felt a bit dissatisfied with the lack of reaction to his obvious lack of clothing (they made a terrible combination with his fur and feathers in his opinion), but wasn't really surprised about it. He had observed a lot of humans and their ways and this one was apparently not the type to give neither his thoughts nor his emotions easily. Hmph. That made it all the more fun, even when he suspected that this one wouldn't last for long.
"I am more used to being the one who receives offers," he admitted lightly, inclining his head ever so slightly. "Especially for things that I usually get for free."

Despite the apparent casual demeanor, Hisoka sensed...something...about this individual. Something powerful. Hisoka smiled internally. Perhaps his new toy wasn't a toy at all.
"Hnn is that so? Would that be people bargaining for their lives?" he asked idly, with the real intent of seeing if this one was a hunter.
no subject
Which they did, indirectly and whether they meant to or not. The only difference was that in most cases the gods simply did not care about the prayers, offers and curses that were directed in their direction.
His lips parted into a small upwards curve as took in the others face. Hmmn, like a clown... but not one that seemed to seek making people amused. "Would you prefer prey or a hunter?"
no subject
He raised an eyebrow, meeting Hades eyes with an amused smile on his face. "God? Quite ambitious. I've met many who have claimed to be gods. I've killed them all."
Hisoka studied Hades for a moment. His eyes narrowed slightly before returning to a look of amusement. "Perhaps you are different," he said casually. There was definitely something there, behind Hades eyes. Hisoka's instincts were rarely wrong.
He idly flicked a leaf off his arm, aware of the underlying question Hades was asking.
"Here there are many who claim to be hunters, but whose skills are those of children with big sticks. There are very few true hunters, but seemingly endless amounts of prey. A pity. You?"
no subject
He cocked an eyebrow when Hisoka seemed to pick up on it, though. His presence was something that went almost always missed, even by other gods. That this one picked up on it was curious, to say the least.
Hades' eyes followed the leaf on it's path towards the ground before he looked back up again. His tone was conversational and a touch less haughty than it had been before. "I think that hunters are more entertaining to hunt than prey. I myself, though... ," he trailed off as he mused over a way of putting it.
"I have reached a point where the old routines bore me. One might call me one who preys upon those who hunt the hunters."
no subject
"Naturally. Hunters are more alert, stronger, and have a few trick up their sleeve," Hisoka said casually, a playing card appearing in his right fingers seemingly out of nowhere at the last comment. A joker. How amusingly appropriate. He flicked it between the fingers on one hand idly.
"But it also depends on the type of prey."
Hisoka didn't miss the meaning behind Hades words, and his lips curved upward into a smile. "Hnnn...a triple hunter. Interesting. And what do you do when you catch the hunter who hunts the hunter?"
no subject
Turning his attention away from Hisoka, he smiled to himself, apparently over a fond memory of such an instance. "I confront them with the truth. What else would a mirror do?"
no subject
Hisoka raised an eyebrow at Hades next comment. "A mirror?" he questioned, curious. "Not quite what I was expecting."
He studied Hades' face for a moment before his smile widened a little. "Although perhaps some things are worse than death," he mused, his eyes not leaving the other man's.
"What kinds of things do your mirrors show?"
[OOC: So sorry for the really late reply - RL has been insane lately. Promise I'll keep up with the tagging though :)]
no subject
"The truth. Whatever it is, whether one wants or can't see it or not." He smiled. "I am no scary god unless you fear."
no subject
"I see," he mused, tapping one finger against his lips. "So everyone sees something different." He raised an eyebrow. "What happens if you come across someone who doesn't fear anything?"
no subject
...Maybe that was one of the reasons why Hades never asked people how he appeared to them. Knowledge was good, but too much of it could be poisonous. Or worse, it could ruin the fun of the game.
One of his ears flicked lightly as he looked up to Hisoka. "Do you think I would be beautiful to you? Or rather a monster?"
no subject
Either way, that was disappointing. It would have been interesting to witness.
Leaning back, his put his hands on his hips, his eyes travelling over Hades' body from top to bottom and back up again. "Hnn....perhaps a combination of both," he mused. "If I feared anything. As you say, beauty and terror are closely entwined."
no subject
A hint of a smile crossed his lips. "Do you think that what you think and what is inside your heart is one and the same?"
no subject
"A shame," Hisoka said lightly with the flick of a finger. "I would have been curious to see how you appeared to me."
He raised an eyebrow at Hades' following comment. "Only someone who can truly accept who and what they are can say they are one and the same," he replied casually. "Others are just lying to themselves. Facing oneself is perhaps one of the more difficult opponents." He paused for a second, and then grinned. "For some."
sorry for the late reply! ><
Unfortunately Hades' bad habit of referring to persons as if they were things hadn't changed when he had arrived in this realm.
"For most, even. Even gods can be toppled if they are surprised by the reflection of their hearts." Apollo's time of blissful ignorance had ended quickly after he had made the mistake of not fleeing Hades' company upon their first meeting. "You might still learn the answer to your question, come the right time." He smiled lightly, eyes calm and confident, but with a short sadistic flicker. Everybody died, after all.
