Description: Shibusen agents head out to stop an all-out Kishin Egg attack on the citizens of Norway.

[The country had been bombarded with an influx of Kishin Eggs over the last few weeks, but Shibusen agents have been deployed to help defend Norway! These aren’t your regular Kishin Eggs though. These eggs have been feeding on the helpless human souls throughout the country, and have grown in strength and power! Be careful when going up against these foes or they might just get the better of you!

Those heading through to Norway will find there's a chill on the air. The air is so cold that it felt as though it would cut right through to your bones! So wrap yourselves up warmly.]

She gave him a confused look when he knelt to examine the Kishin's remains, but barely spared him the attention his brushoff would have received had she not had to deal with not one, but two freshly ingested corrupt souls being converted into power. While he was busy, she took a few discrete, calming breaths. Neither soul had been as strong as the one she had consumed in Ireland, but together they left her with an even larger buzz. He caught her attention again, and she just barely refrained from jabbing him in the side for his callousness toward the little boy.

Had she seriously thought he might be nicer than she first thought? Ha.

Sighing, she carefully coaxed the scared child out from behind the large piece of rubble he had taken refuge behind. Yako scooped him up into her arms and took off after Bakura, upping her pace to a light jog so he hopefully wouldn't notice the new jittery spring to her step. She didn't really feel like explaining much to him at the moment.

[Transforming immediately, and shifting his arm the moment he's on his own two feet.]

I shall head the way.

Getting the high ground would make it easier for us.

[Normally a climb like this wouldn't be much of a problem for the Kishin Egg, but even if the wound it received wasn't immediately fatal it was still slowing it down. At the rate it was going, it wouldn't even be halfway up by the time Sapphire reached the roof.]

Whoa! Watch it! To the right!

[The bladed kishin egg is still going at it, cleverly trying to distract them from another clown-like one that tries to ambush them from their blind spot.]

*It was a vicious attack but enemies needed no pity. Especially those who would try to overwhelm an entire country. Alucard's battle lust calmed down.*

It was almost impossible for him to describe what Conrad was to him, but that was one great thing about resonating: he didn't have to. All of his thoughts and feelings towards the man could be felt through their link, and how much he had grown to care for Conrad.

That didn't stop him from answering even despite the battle going on around them. "He did, but he was so much more than that as well," Yuuri muttered before nodding his ghost-like face at the statement. "He's special to me. Lots of people are, but Conrad's something else. Aaah I can't think of how to explain it."

Alright, there needs to be some way to flush this thing out!

*Too bad his meister ability wouldn't likely work, no way they could blast down with his soul wavelength to take care of the creature like that.*

She was able to perceive some of what Yuuri had invested in this Conrad person, but she couldn't actually say that she had anyone like that herself. She had always been self-sufficient and kept others away from her, but her situation had also been vastly different from his own. Still, she felt that such a man would be needed here to help Yuuri heal from all that he had already been through.

"It is a pity he isn't here with you now," she replied after a moment, lowering the blade to rest at her side. She surveyed the battlefield silently for a moment. "It's good that you cherish memories of him then."

[It's rude to ignore people you know.

Already in pain from her previous attacks, it was difficult for the Kishin Egg Couldn't recover fast enough to attempt the block and Chika's attack caught it and, after a faint gurgle and a twitch, it went limp. The sensation of tearing through flesh didn't bother Waltz that much. So he was mostly unruffled as he surveyed her handiwork.]

A little sloppy, but I suppose that's to be expected for a beginner.

[Raidou jumped off and flicked blood from the sword before turning away. The Kishin Eggs disappeared behind him, leaving two souls behind.]

[She nodded and continued to leap after it. Maybe if... she looks around their surroundings. Could it charge through a tangle of frozen roots? She started bounding after it, forcing it to change directions.]

*Alucard sounded much calmer. He peered out of the blade.*

I don't see anything else so it appears to be safe. For now.

Unfortunately for Yako it was rather difficult to really hide anything from the thief. He was keeping his senses sharp in case they met another monster on their way back, but it was her different rhythm of walking that caught his interest instead. Okay, maybe it annoyed him rather than interested.

Shooting her a glare, he growled "Can you stop that?! Decide for one way of walking and keep to it!"

Trying to concentrate on finding a safe way back was tricky enough without her breaking his concentration all the time!

There was a flash of emotional pain at the mention of Conrad not being here. It wasn't for the fact that he wasn't here, but because he had been here. The young Maou fell quiet at that mention, and as she held his bladed form down by her side, he found himself muttering, "I'm glad that he's not here. Being home means that he's safe."

And that he didn't have to watch him die again or just up and disappear throughout the night.

[ooc: she probably hasn't seen it, but in his bedroom there is a baseball glove that the first Conrad gave him (the one who was killed).]

I think the more accurate term to describe what you have is 'cuteness'.

"Sorry, sorry," Yako murmured, doing her best to regulate her pace. Her energy had to find some sort of outlet, however, and her gaze darted up to catch his for a moment.

It was brief, but the way her eyes darted slightly here and there, never fixating on any one detail, made it plain that she wasn't exactly in a normal or even just nervous state. Her body was tensed through out, not out of fear, but like a racehorse stomping restlessly behind the gate, just waiting for the starting signal.

She readjusted her grip on the boy and looked away though, trying hard to keep from humming or slipping into any similarly obnoxious behavior.

[At Aion's warning, Takuto whips the plain sword around, his feet taking him closer to the bladed Kishin egg as he fends off the clownish one. The blades are holding him up from getting a solid hit with Aion, and the best he can do with the plain sword is keep a Kishin egg at bay--normal weapons don't have nearly the effect as weapons like Aion. Furthermore, he's... dreadfully out of shape. It's only minutes into the battle, and Takuto is already starting to pant.

This... is probably a pinch. Unless...]

Aion, I need a bullet! [He twists suddenly, pivoting on one foot and stretching out both arms--the plain sword now facing the bladed Kishin egg and Aion's barrel facing directly at the clown. He pulls the trigger.]

He gave her another annoyed glare and then just sighed wordlessly and hastened his steps. Whatever was up with her wasn't his problem.

Unless...

He doubted that it was the case, but if she had used him for her own purposes she would have to be careful from now on. The thief of the sennen items didn't mind mind engaging in give and take deals, but he did mind being used as a pawn.

The emotional pain was sharp and jarring, and she wrinkled her nose in response to it even if she was aware it wasn't her own pain. She shifted her weight as if to compensate for an injury, and she glanced down at the blade resting at her side. "Yet it pains you all the same."

She moved to continue through the battlefield, aware that the current subject was a painful one for her Weapon. He would no doubt continue to be distraught throughout it, but she was fine with that. He needed his time to cope. "Even in the greatest despair, there is always a reason to smile."

[Sensing Takuto's hesitation through their resonance, Aion sends out an impulse of his own both as reassurance and a way of lending a hand.

There is a short flash coming from the cylinder of the revolver-like part of the weapon as six rounds of compressed soul energy - Takuto's as the body and Aion's as a lacing to given them some extra blast - appear.]

You have six! Blast them away!

[He fires four within the next two seconds, the bullets sinking into the Kishin egg and dropping it to the ground. But he already knows he doesn't have time to watch, because the bladed Kishin egg is pushing at his single-handed defense. He brings Aion around, blocking a blade and then stabbing straight into the creature.

There's a flicker of... something as he pulls the trigger, hitting the Kishin egg in the gut. Was it pride? A sense of self-satisfaction? He pulls Aion's blade from the wounded Kishin egg, aiming the last bullet for it's head while it staggers. He decides to not examine his feelings on the matter, and squeezes the trigger again.]

I can be both. Cute can be charming.

[ She's practically perfect, after all- In her own head, at least. ]

I'm the cutest Weapon in the city. And I would bet I'm one of the strongest guests.

*Chika sighed, taking a deep breath as she looked down at the dead Kishin Egg... and heard Waltz's insult.*

You can't give anyone a compliment ever, can you?
