Can I FINALLY smash things? [CLOSED]
Characters: Rokudo Mukuro & Rhode Kamelot
Location: Egypt, near the Pyramids
Rating: PG or higher for violence!
Time: January 2, morning onwards
Description: Darling, it's been a long, long time.
Admittedly, the long lull between the operation in Europe and the end of the year had not been fun. Of course, one would never be able to tell that Mukuro was bored - it was hard to tell if he was much of anything, really, beyond eternally amused at anything and everything. Still, the fact remained: he had been bored, and boredom wasn't good for the skin or the pocket at all.
Thank god for missions. Few things could compete with the sort of relief that came with finally being set free and given a target to hunt down and kill. Sure, they were out in the middle of a desert in a place full of stinking camels and rude, dark faces, but it could be worse, really. It could always be worse.
"Come along, my dear. We have work to do."

"Come along, my dear. We have work to do."

It wasn't an attempt to be mean-spirited, at the very least; she was truly curious, and always rather impulsive. It just didn't serve her or her partner well when curiosity and impulse struck after bedtime.
no subject
A warning, even if it sounded like a light tease.

"Well, I'll do my best not to. Just for you."
no subject
Maybe he'll reward you for that. Just maybe.

She tried to skip backward for a few steps, looking cute for a moment before stumbling and having to catch herself in a less-than-dignified manner. Regaining her footing, she moved back to walk properly next to her Meister, face just a bit red from embarrassment.
"Well. What is there to see here in Egypt?"
no subject
The only thing he really knew about were pyramids. And, well, spitting camels.

Humming, she adjusted her sunglasses on her nose, brushing a bit of hair out of the way.
"We need to get a souvenir while we're here, though- We have a huge new apartment to put things in, and I've read that Egypt does have a lot of pretty things."

It was a good thing Mukuro made it a habit to bring a large sum of money with him every time they left Death City. Rhode did like to shop.

"Maybe some pillows! Or a lamp, or a vase, or a picture for the wall. Something that we can show people, or wait for them to ask about, and then we can tell them exactly where we got it! It will be so lovely, having nice things to show off."
no subject
Between Rhode's tastes and Mukuro's tendency to hoard, it WAS a real possibility...
no subject
"Then I suppose we can start small. I don't think pillows would take up much, do you? We can put them on the couch."

no subject
"Small things. Small things... from Egypt. Right."
no subject
He knew his partner well enough to know that she could consider that 'small' if she was desperate.
no subject
"... Maybe a nice gold statue, then?"
no subject
No, he wasn't going to buy a suitcase just to carry anything.
no subject
If that was the case, she was already doing some silent calculations. He could pick her up rather easily, which meant that the heaviest thing that could count as portable could be around 80 pounds. If only there was something small but expensive-looking that weighed anywhere near that much?
"You're making this a bit complicated, you know."
no subject
Didn't you know?
no subject
The last thing she wants is to leave Egypt feeling like she was shorted, after all.
no subject
...Granted, he's damned easy.
no subject
And his partner most certainly is not.
no subject
Mostly!
no subject
She'll just put her foot down, now, and see where it gets her.
no subject
That should not be too hard to find at all.
