Kick back, knock back a few. [OPEN]

Come pester?]

Do you like the party so far, Toph?

Mm, I think I would have to admit, humans really do look odd and do things they would normally not do while inebriated.
That aside, I am glad you are enjoying yourself. A new year is upon us, and while the game did not go as planned, at least we are celebrating in an auspicious manner.

[She's still sore about that]
We had a dragon!

They also had Zone leader Rhapsodos who can also fly. That is one good reason I can think of.
I did not think he could do that; he really does seem to be a man full of surprises.

We'll win next time, don't worry.
no subject
[Because, it just would not do if they were on a losing streak as far as those games went.]
Then again, that shall be for another day. Soon, I hope.
[He pauses for a moment, because if they continue speaking on this subject, he is sure that they would both continue to be sore and that just would not do for such a night.]
Toph... I was wondering -- what do you hope will come in this new year?

While I am not one to shy away from battles, it would be nice to finally live someplace where war is not something I would have to worry about.
The only time I have been in a land that is in peace is when I went to China, and even then that was only for several weeks at the most.

So we are both a product of war, it seems.
It might "suck" as you have put it, but we are not the only ones in this predicament, so it sucks for everyone. All we can do is bear what we can and help.
It just would be nice to have longer moments of respite like this than have to deal with all these madness wavelengths and random witch attacks.

[Nudge back]
Any idea what Mushu's doing?

Then again, I think he would prefer to stay at home. Not like he would like many people to know whom he is, after all.
Perhaps we can have some tea after we get home and hear the fireworks go off at midnight?

[Pause]
Perhaps when they are in season, we might buy ourselves some with the capital we have due to our work in the Watch, and taste them. Yes, I think that should workout splendidly.
Oh, then how about some roasted nuts? They seem to be a seasonal favourite this time of year, from what I remember.

Wait, you mean to tell me that he is able to breathe fire?
[Because that... is the first he's ever heard of it.]

He could come in quite useful, especially if he could do that. Though not all dragons breathe fire. Just certain ones.
As for the joke, that one is quite clever indeed.
[Yeah, it went over his head for a moment, and is trying to recover with that last sentence.]

[No.... admit it.]
I did not. Not at first, anyhow. I was rather taken aback at what I thought would have been the news that he is indeed a firebreather.
He could safely roast them in the kitchen, and since the nuts are so small, then he would not have much of a problem if he did them individually, correct?
[That seems like it would be joke-worthy.]
no subject
Leave the humor to me and Mushu, Tem.
no subject
I can be clever as well...! But I will gladly concede to your point, and leave that to Mushu and yourself.
