soul_logs | [Morning Training!]

Morning Training happens every day in the city, and most days get handwaved. Once a month a log goes up to play out interactions and teaching. It happens from 6 am to 9 am, and this time it's happening December 31st, in-game.

I'll be linking/indexing once threads are made.

Batch 1: Beginners under the age of fifteen. Taught by Prussia, Fakir, Auron.
Batch 2: Adult beginners. Under Tommy Oliver, Saber, Kaoru Kamiya, Lightning Farron, Maito Gai.

Interesting. No, it's not, but then I hadn't used a weapon in decades before I arrived here. [Now, mind, he doesn't really look older than twenty..]

[The blade turns back into an arm and hand. Aion is not very familiar with the way humans age (besides it being quite differently than his own kind), but the claim still doesn't seem to fit in a way that makes logical sense.]

For decades? You don't seem that old to me.

[Kujaku tilts his head.] Yes, decades. I do look my age, but perhaps you're thinking of the wrong species.

That depends on what species you are.

Not entirely human.

You know, that description includes a lot of primates and several less savory options.

I'm aware, but that makes me no more inclined to elaborate.

I see. What if I were to ask you directly?

Aion the Sinner. I am what humans would call a demon. Or 'devil'.

[A pause. Kujaku tenses a bit, but his tone is pensive when he answers.]

I've... met demons. On my own world, they're ...different from you. My name is Kujaku. I'm half human, and half, I suppose the term here would be, 'alien'.

[Aion stops and becomes very calm for a moment when he hears the words 'alien', but then he goes on as if nothing has happened and even smiles a little.]

An alien? That means from the stars rather than this world, right? And no worries, I figure that the idea of demons has to be quite different at every place. In mine it means beings that consume souls.

Thechnically where I'm from the humans are the aliens, having migrated from their original home planet, but I suppose that's just splitting hairs.

No, that is actually quite interesting. Who would have ever thought that they would bring it that far? I guess technology eventually DID replace their addiction to religion.

I suppose so? At least I haven't seen much in terms of religion, but on the other hand, since arriving, much of their technology has been lost. [Oh, irony.]

I'm just curious how long it takes human technology to reach which level. I doubt that it can be compared to that of demons.

I believe they started the count over when they arrived. I'm afraid I can't help you.

Then how about your own time?

I'm only forty years old. If they were here, you could ask the Demons or Angels of our world, which I believe were brought along by the humans. Not that that helps to answer your question now.
