Morning Training happens every day in the city, and most days get handwaved. Once a month a log goes up to play out interactions and teaching. It happens from 6 am to 9 am, and this time it's happening December 31st, in-game.

I'll be linking/indexing once threads are made.

Batch 1: Beginners under the age of fifteen. Taught by Prussia, Fakir, Auron.

Yosuke-san and Satonaka-san recognized me on sight when I met them. So would many others from your time, apparently. I thought it could be explained if demons and summoners were common knowledge in the future, but...

That's... not the case. Devil Summoners, demons... all of that sort are considered fiction in our world. When we first met, Chie-senpai thought I was mimicking you actually since I only told them about my family's detective lineage.

Either way, the fact that someone would know enough about the Kuzunoha to spread the information around puzzles me, even if it is only in fiction. Our true occupation should not be known to the public at all.

Don't ask; she watches too many movies as is.

Understandable. Still, few actually believe in demons and we kept it that way not that it was considerably difficult. Though... I guess it's safe enough to speak with you about the events that occurred in our world.

[Now that she thinks about it... the demons in the movie did look like some of the Personae Souji could summon. Could there be a connection?]

You became directly involved with that other world, then... I would be interested in hearing about it if you have nothing against telling me.

[Maybe if he finds out more about the demons in Naoto's time, he can figure out whether there's any connection between them and the ones he knows. It might help him figure out what's going on with the Kuzunoha clan in the future, too...]

It was presented as a typical homicide case... two victims, no suspects, and several disappearances in-between, most of which were undocumented. I was the last one to come upon this other world, but my suspicions were correct assuming Souji-senpai and the others were somehow involved in the case. After all, it was a rather rag-tag band of kids, several who had been listed as missing for a few weeks.

I kept an eye on them until August when the department finally arrested a possible suspect. They were guilty, but for a copycat crime. Unfortunately, the police wouldn't listen and dismissed me... I, in response, allowed myself to be kidnapped by using the criminal's MO, going as far as informing Souji-senpai of my intentions.

That was when I first saw the other side...

So the criminal used the other world as a means to kill his victims?

That's correct.

On the other side, aspects of yourself become physical. They're called 'Shadows'. Commonly, they are docile, becoming violent when the atmosphere in that world becomes clear. It was on that side each of us confronted a side of us we didn't want to acknowledge; Shadows that manifested into our image specifically and were much more hostile in comparison to the smaller ones that lurked about.

Denying our Shadows selves just caused them to lash out, but Souji-senpai and the others arrived in time... They saved me.

I see... I'm glad you made it through safely, at least. [Shadows... Not exactly like demons, but he does know of ones that are similarly born from human emotions. Not completely different, then...]

I am guessing that is how Souji-san's group became involved in the case? By discovering the other side and what happens there.

Yes. They discovered the world back in March. It turns out that only those with Persona can enter the world as they please. Senpai had been given that ability while the rest of us had to face ourselves.

Persona... What is it, exactly?

A Persona is the suppressed ego tamed. In other words, it's our Shadow after we accept it. What form it takes depends on us of course.

They took the form our ego best reflected. Though, when I was first saved, my Persona was barely over a foot tall. Still, legends did say Sukuna-Hikona was a tiny deity...

Indeed... The Sukuna-Hikona I met was even smaller than that. [Small enough to crawl inside a man's mouth...] So they take on the appearances of deities.

How strange... [She nods] Ours did, but Souji-senpai was a... special case. He didn't have a single Persona, but multiple ones.
