Morning Training happens every day in the city, and most days get handwaved. Once a month a log goes up to play out interactions and teaching. It happens from 6 am to 9 am, and this time it's happening December 31st, in-game.

I'll be linking/indexing once threads are made.

Batch 1: Beginners under the age of fifteen. Taught by Prussia, Fakir, Auron.
Batch 2: Adult beginners. Under Tommy Oliver, Saber, Kaoru Kamiya, Lightning Farron, Maito Gai.
Batch 3: Intermediate fighters, for sparring with each other. Overseen by Hyuuga Neji. Please see list of random sparrers.
Batch 4: Experienced fighters, for sparring with each other. Overseen by Selendis. Please see list of random sparrers.
Weapon transformation: How to Change into Your Weapon Form. Kasuga, Yuuri, Ishida Mitsunari, Spirit.
Soul Perception: If you still don’t know by now-- Any of the Soul Perception people. Azusa, Stein.
Partner training: How to Work Together as Partners. Tassadar and Nataku. Maka and Soul.
Weapons handling training: Genesis, Tenten, Yuu Kanda.
Shooting range: How to shoot things 101. Jade Harley, Grit, Germany.
Meister Ability helpers: Stein, Edgeworth
Medics: All the medical people.
Audience: Because some people just want to watch.
Watch: An area closed off to the Watch members who need any sort of special training.

Remember, detective. Overall, the sword isn't a razor sharp tool. But it has enough weight that it can bash and cut through things. If all else fails, you can use the flat of the blade as a block or as a means to club.

You have said you already know the katana so I do not think you will have to add much more to your abilities. Just in how to adapt them to a different weapon.
