Description: So a baby hitman, a natural assassin and a mafia boss in training go looking for their new rooms. And then proceed to break into a friend's.

[He glances around his room, looking a little uncertain. So this was where he was staying for however long it took for the war to end or if he was randomly sent back home again. It was rather...quiet. Kind of weird, after living in such a noisy household for so long.

Checking the kitchen and bathroom and finding nothing of interest, he walks about out into the hallway, closing his door behind him, looking for where his friends went]

Reborn? Yamamoto?

[confused. Weren't they just there?]

Where did you guys go?

[settles onto the couch once Gokudera returns, taking the chance to look around. It was much bigger than his place.

Rubbing the back of his own head. It did make sense that he and Gokudera had partnered up when he was here before--he had assumed he hadn't had a partner but apparently he was mistaken.]

City Watch?

[someone had mentioned that before but he hadn't really been paying attention. Too busy trying to deal with the overload of information]

[As Yamamoto said, these designations really did fit their personalities, though his conclusion was based on consideration rather than instinct.

Also, he's just hanging out on Yamamoto's shoulder, so feel free to move him around]

You may want to consider joining again, Tsuna. [Leaving aside the fact that you would basically be pretty worthless at the moment] It would be a valuable experience for you.

[not that he actually knows for sure if Yamamoto is or not - he just assumes, because they're both Tsuna's guardians, and somehow it just makes more sense. Although he's not really thinking about the fact that Mukuro and Chrome were both Meisters.]

We just had one shift. Usually there wasn't much trouble so we spent more time training.

Haha, what're you talking about, Gokudera? I'm a meister.

[that's kind of too bad, though. He would've liked trying a team-up with Tsuna too, but it looks like that's not going to work out. Well, he can still stick by him anyway, even if they can't be a battery. Or partners. Or whatever the word was.]

[not sure if he wants to be part of the City Watch again. WELL aware of how useless he is.]

So I guess I have a lot of catching up to do then.

[stares at Yamamoto in disbelief.]

You're a Meister?

[somehow, finds that hard to believe. Granted Yamamoto is all about teamwork, but still...STILL. Shouldn't he be a weapon so that Tsuna could use either one of them? But the on the other hand...

...he smirks.]

Guess that means I'll just have to be the Tenth's permanent partner and baseball-idiot can have his pick of the other crazies in this place.

[glances over at Reborn with an expectant smile. It's kind of funny if everyone but Gokudera is a Meister, actually. He seems like he'd make a really pushy weapon.]

[With perhaps a bit more aplomb than he actually feels about this situation] I'm a Weapon, actually.

[do you see his shocked face? he is shocked. Seriously.]

A Weapon? This place must've made some kind of mistake! There's no way someone as powerful as Reborn-san could be a Weapon!

[not especially since Yamamoto's a meister!]

[kind of wondering if Gokudera's realizing he just called himself weak. But he's too polite to--]

You're a Weapon too, Gokudera. [actually, he's not.]

That's great. We've got a team right here, then!

I-I really don't think being a Weapon or Meister has anything to do with power though?

[Because while Yamamoto is amazing, he is definitely not.

Though it really was strange Reborn was a Weapon and not a Meister.

Smiling and nodding at Yamamoto's words. They were matched up pretty evenly weren't they?]

[Shrugging, as if it really didn't matter to him - hint, it kind of did - but his voice is even and amused] Yes, who would I complain to about that, Gokudera, since you've been here for longer?

[glancing over at Gokudera like a dog tracking the bouncing tennis ball of the conversational handoff. This is good after all. Even if he can't team up with Tsuna, he should be able to resonate with either Gokudera or Reborn and they can all stick together.]

Ah-

[opens his mouth to answer, and then steps back, folding his arms and glancing away. He knows pretty well by now there's no way to actually change what you are. Everyone told him to suck it up and deal with it, and he's pretty sure even as terrifying as Reborn could be, the people in this place either won't have any control over it, or they won't do anything about it.]

Even if I really knew, it's probably impossible to change...the only people who have changed have left and then sometimes come back as something different, and they can't remember they've been here before.

But--I was a Meister last time too, wasn't I?

[and he was one now. blinking. This was incredibly confusing]

Wonder why some people change and some people don't.

Perhaps it's something inherent in personality. Some people can go both ways. [Thank you for the double entendre, Reborn. He looks around the room and shrugs.] Che sarà sarà, I suppose.

Hey, what about me. Was I here before? [grins hopefully at that. Maybe he can be waiting for some kind of knowledge from his other self if he had been. Because if he'd known things here once, it should totally just come back to him or something.]
