The clinic is a buzz of activity from beginning to end, with the doctors and their staff preparing everything that could be needed by their agents in Europe, and clearing away the unnecessaries. Food is cooked large-scale because no one will have time to do it later, and hospital supplies are moved around to make more space for beds.
Shibusen's scouts and supportive agents are in charge of dragging the wounded back to Death City, and they come and go for random errands. The atmosphere is understandably tense, and things don't get better when the first of the injured are brought in.

"...The blank white walls back in Creeping Crypt really started buggin' me." He lowered the sketchpad hesitantly as he shook his head. The textile shop always had colorful fabrics nestled and placed about here and there, and the interior was always a warm, inviting color.
"I-it ain't familiar! Nothin' about it says 'this is the kinda guy who lives here', y'know?" He sat up straighter then, looking back at her.
"So I'm gonna pick up some stuff at the Mall tomorrow n' see if I can't make the new place a little... y'know, cozy! Haven't tried painting the Samegawa Riverbank in a while... or maybe the Tatsuhime Shrine. Whatcha think, Naoto-kun?"

She sat back as he came out of hiding, nodding when he mentioned the sparseness of the walls. They were expected to do any decorative furnishing on their own.
"... Hm? Oh... I think those would make great paintings." Or was he asking her about another location? "... How about the hill that overlooks Inaba?"

He nabbed the pencil from where it was tucked atop an ear, turning the drawing back to him. He leaned and tried to think of something else when a loud SNAP and a clatter rang from his general area. Kanji felt no resistance before him as the back rest fell, hands snatching out and grabbing the edge of the clinic bed for balance.
...Okay, maybe he was too big for this chair.

"Sorry-- You okay? Sh-should I call somebody?!" If his dumb ass aggravated her injuries...

"... Perhaps a nurse." She may have opened her slightly healed stomach. Even if she hasn't, she can't get back in bed easily like this.

"N-nurse, got it. D-don't move! I'll..." He couldn't leave her like this, tensed up and possibly getting worse. He stepped up, gauging where the bandages were before carefully moving to get her back in bed. He would avoid that shoulder, watch the arm, go slow and easy...

Finally, she let out a shaky breath. "Thank you."

"I'm gonna get somebody now, see if everything's okay."
Once she was back on the pillows, he hadn't stopped moving, turning and moving out the door without another word. Surely there was someone patrolling the halls...
Fortunately, it didn't take him long to track down a nurse between tasks, ushering her along to the room. Once she stepped in, she seemed to hesitate for just a moment, looking from the busted chair to Naoto.
Dare she ask what the hell happened here? Though, she seemed to side-eye Kanji for a moment as he turned away from them, shoulders hitched, before she proceeded to do as asked. Perhaps the boy worried too much.

"It was an accident. He leaned too far back and the legs snapped... I moved to check if he was fine."
After the explanation, she spoke quietly to the nurse, using her good hand to point to her side.

The nurse seemed convinced, however, at the very least glad she wasn't about to admit someone else for rather embarrassing splinter injuries. To shoo the boy out for now, he was instructed to pick up his mess and go dispose of it. With him gone, she went to take a look at her side.
