The clinic is a buzz of activity from beginning to end, with the doctors and their staff preparing everything that could be needed by their agents in Europe, and clearing away the unnecessaries. Food is cooked large-scale because no one will have time to do it later, and hospital supplies are moved around to make more space for beds.

Shibusen's scouts and supportive agents are in charge of dragging the wounded back to Death City, and they come and go for random errands. The atmosphere is understandably tense, and things don't get better when the first of the injured are brought in.

"It happens. And you probably still need to house break him."

Naoto sighs and shakes her head. "I doubt it."

[tauborn]

"Well, he's definitely house-broken. R-riku trained him."

It's to his credit that he only stumbles a little on Riku's name. Because he worries sometimes that it's not just the puppy that has some abandonment issues.

[pishirogane]

"... I see."

Naoto decides not to say anything more again. She remembers that network post.

[tauborn]

He looks down at the floor, his expression pensive. But no, he decides he doesn't want to bring it up, so when he looks back at her it's with his usual cheery smile.

"How's the clinic food, anyway? I've only had to stay here once and they didn't feed me, so I really don't know."

[pishirogane]

"... I'm not sure. This is the first time I've been awake so long here."

Her expression is neutral while she wonders how forced that smile is.

[tauborn]

"Oh, well then let me know. If it's absolutely horrible, I'll bring you something." Not that he knows how to cook, really, but if the food is enough to make Naoto complain, then he can probably do better. "Or if you want any books or anything." He doesn't want her getting bored, and there are bound to be times when all her potential visitors are doing something else and she's alone.

[pishirogane]

"Hm... I'll let you know."

Though, she probably will just suffer through it. It's only another day in the hospital after all, not the whole week. That would be dreadful.
