[OPEN LOG]

Characters: Vriska Serket and YOU
Location: Around Death City
Rating: PG to start, could turn violent depending on who's involved.
Time: January 27th, all day.
Description: A certain cerulean has been looking for information, instead she finds you.

[Thusfar, Vriska hadn't found reason to concern herself with this supposed war despite the promise of a face or two to cave in. However, the more she thought about it, the more she realized just how boring Death City was in comparison to what she had been doing back in the Veil. Sure, she could still troll a good majority of her 'friends', but it wasn't quite the same.

Maybe it was because she was dead. Maybe it was something else entirely. Whatever it was, it sure was annoying.

Thusfar, she hadn't found too many interesting folk, aside from one who had really caught her eye. It was because of Kerrigan's earlier post that she found herself out and about today, tempted by the scent of both adventure and possible leverage against an otherwise unshakable opponent.

She's not really paying attention to where she's going anymore. Vriska has taken to busying herself with rolling a pebble between her fingers to fill the absent void where her dicekind once sat.]

[The downside for Vriska is that Matt's gotten used to following pupilless eyes since he'd been around Sollux so long, and on top of that even better at reading stubborn people thanks to growing up with Mello. He can tell something's bothering her, and the lighter stops with one final click before he slips it into a pocket of his vest.]

There was no absolute guarantee. I just had to assume the other person was able to fit the pieces together. Me dying wasn't really part of the plan, it was my own fuck up.

But it doesn't really matter. What's gotten you so blue?

[Pun only half intended. He needs to stop picking up Sollux's bad habits.]

I've been around Sollux since he arrived and I found him hiding in my apartment. I use that as my excuse.

[But she's not dodging that question so easily.]

But you're not denying it and instead chose to dodge around it. So what's up? If it counts for anything I can promise that I won't tell anyone what you say, not even him.

[Really, considering what Sollux has told him it might be best to just not mention running into Vriska at all.]

You've got no reason to do either other than my word, but I'm known for keeping it on the rare occasions that I bother. Hell, probably not even going to tell Sollux I saw you in the first place. I don't judge people by what I hear from others, just what I see from them.

And as for why it's simple enough. You look like you need someone to talk to who won't judge you.

[Matt watches closely, reading her actions easily enough. It's almost sad really, but he won't press the matter yet.]

I can't make you believe me, so I won't press you. Just assure you that I meant what I said, and if not me then you really should find someone to talk to about what's on your mind.

[He pushes away from the wall, slipping his hands into his pockets and glancing around.]

You hungry or something?

I know your type and I know that means the exact opposite of what you just said. But like I said, up to you.

[If Sollux is Mello's moodiness and attitude, this girl is Mello's stubbornness and hidden past.]

You up for dinner somewhere? Least I can do since I nearly knocked you over.
espionagegamer: (Never know till you try)

Maybe you're right and I don't know a damn thing. But that's what learning is for.

[Being overconfident has always been an issue of his, especially when it comes to people the thinks he can read. He's going to continue to believe it until Vriska manages to prove him wrong.]

So then name the place and I'll buy.

You know there's a difference between knowing what someone's like and knowing what they like, especially when it comes to food.

[And Matt meets that stare with a casually amused smile. She really kind of is an amusing kid.]
espionagegamer: (This might be fun)

There's a place around here somewhere that sells all different sorts of food, we could head over there. Can't really go wrong with something like that.

[Doesn't like sweets, but maybe something a bit bitter. Never hurts to ask. If only for his own personal amusement.]

What do you think of chocolate?
espionagegamer: (Easily pleased)

[Matt actually laughs at that, but has no plans on explaining why. Clearly something out there doesn't want him too amused. It might just have killed him if she had liked it.]

Yeah, I agree with you there. Never really been a big fan of it myself. Come on, it's this way. I left my bike behind so I hope you're fine with walking. Don't think it's too far anyways.

[He gives a shrug of his shoulders and a gesture as he turns to walk off, clearly meaning for her to follow.]
