Description: After much asking and pestering, Koujurou finally agrees to go on a mission with Date. Unfortunately, things aren't going to be that simple.
To be honest, where Date had really wanted to go was not here, but he really didn't have much of a choice since this was the only mission available which was bound for modern Japan. He supposed he could only make do with it since there wasn't any other real alternative - in a way, he was still going to be able to see how Japan was like, and that was more than enough for him for now. He could go to where he wanted to go next time since he was sure there would be a lot more other chances for him.
It had been a while since he did this whole 'going to another place in an instant' thing via the Shinigami's mirror, but the feeling was one which Date could shake off easily once he was through it and out into the notably colder winds of Hokkaido (or well, what he knew was called Hokkaido in this world - it seemed like with Hi-No-Moto itself, Ezogashima seemed to have changed names as well). He wasn't in his usual armor for once, but at least the threads he was wearing was doing a rather good job of being able to keep him warm. Date didn't feel too bothered by the autumn chill as he glanced behind him to make sure that Koujurou was with him through the mirror as well.
"You okay, Koujurou?" he asked once he caught sight of the elder man - now that they were finally on a mission, Date sure wasn't going to let anything compromise it. Enough time had been wasted as it was already with everything that had happened.

The Black Dragon flared up, crackling with electricity. The charge, upon contact, would certainly be enough to paralyze an enemy and evaporate any moisture that it came in contact with.

The result was instantaneous, as the kishin shrieked from the charge that was focused right upon it, steam gushing out from its crown as the water on its head evaporated almost instantly. Date backed away once the damage had been done, getting into stance again as he watched the kappa writhing violently from the damage that had been done to it.
That should have done the trick-- he started to say, stopping when the kishin gave out a loud cry all of a sudden and started to charge right towards him. Date attempted to dodge, but then the kappa seemed to have predicted his movements this time and rammed squarely against his chest with great force. It was enough to make Date stumble back, lose his grip on Koujurou and his own footing when he needed it most as the kappa took that one moment to retreat back into the lake - and took the Meister along with it.

There had been no time to react, no means of doing anything else but watch as the kappa rammed into them both, as his Meister finally lost his grip.
Koujurou shifted out in mid air and hit the ground back in human form. He immediately whirled to face the lake just in time to see the kappa diving.
No thoughts, not a moment of hesitation. The Weapon was already moving, transforming his left arm into the blade of his Weapon and taking after the creature. He managed to stab it through the back just as it went beneath the water.
That, of course, meant that he was going right along with it.

In the meantime, the kappa was still shrieking underwater, trashing violently as it attempted to shake off the blade that was currently still stuck in its back. It tried to go deeper into the lake, hoping that the current of the waters would dislodge the weapon off it. Date quickly swam after it without a second thought, attempting to grab back the Weapon before it was out of his reach.

The blade of the Black Dragon remained firmly fixed within the kappa's back. Koujurou reached out yet again for Masamune's soul - now that they were reunited, they could communicate once more.
Hold fast, my lord!
The kappa was struggling valiantly, trying to ignore how it was getting weaker by the second, still swimming towards an almost imperceptible crack in the stone wall that they were now making their way towards: the entrance to its lair, it seems.

The kappa was still swimming, still trying to get rid of the duo as it swam towards the entrance of its nest. Date made sure that the blade would hold on well though, staying with the kappa even as he could feel the breath he had been holding slowly running out. He pushed the sword forward a little, making the kishin screech in pain once more before abruptly hastening its pace, going through the crack proper with both Meister and Weapon in tow.
