Description: Belphegor finds big brother lives near by and greets him. Stabbing is a proper form of greeting, right?
Restless. That was the only word he could possibly use to describe the mood that's fallen over him the past while. It didn't bother him at first, how they left one by one. It amused him, the fact that BREW thought they were no longer useful or perhaps took pity on how miserable they were. It didn't matter to him though, his routine wasn't ever broken. Even after Mammon's disappearance, and then that damn note showing up and mocking him, he made himself stick to the routine he had fallen into. Waiting and hoping for the damn witches to make their move already. But then his routine was gone. Squalo, the last one, was sent away as well. And Bel moved back into his own apartment, leaving Shibusen to clean up whatever mess was left of the shark's. Apparently they had done a good job, as it was now occupied once more.
But he didn't care for any of that. Bel had always been good at fooling himself, this really was just another one of those things. He needed action, needed to feel his knives slashing through flesh and drawing that addicting flash of red again. But he couldn't. Not without a partner. And there was no one, not since they left. He had tried the other bomb brat, but the first one was enough of a pain in the fucking ass to convince and even then it was a desperate situation and he had the other brat to use as leverage. But not this time. There was no blackmail he could use, and he really didn't fucking want to anyways. No one to kill, no one to even annoy to pass the time. He could harass the Vongola brats, but they were too easy for his tastes and couldn't hold his interest for very long.
And then BREW acted up again, bringing in a new group. And him. What was it, that first day he had gotten Squalo to take him to the carnival? That Boss kept throwing back into his face, every chance he got. Bel didn't want to think about it then, it was a sore spot with him that he didn't even want to sort out himself. He doesn't want to think about it now even, despite the thoughts that had been going around his head since their conversation. He wanted him dead. Wanted to prove that he was the only one who could kill Rasiel, that it wasn't anyone's right but his own.
But even more so than that, Bel saw an opportunity there. Siel was a weapon. That fact alone had made Bel's day. For once in his life, he was better than that son of a bitch. And the chance, the possibility of being able to control him, to use him as his own tool... Bel needed it. Needed it for his own satisfaction, and to cure his own restlessness. Because a partner meant missions. And missions meant getting to kill something, even something as lowly as a Kishin Eggs. They were once human, they bleed. That's good enough for Bel. If only the asshole wasn't so damned stubborn things would be a lot easier. But what else did he expect?
With his Watch shift over and done with finally, he made his way back home. As always, taking the elevator instead of the stairs. Yes, eight flights of stairs would be good exercise. No, Bel didn't give a shit and wasn't going to climb that many at seven in the fucking morning. His mind on past events, he didn't even notice he was at his door until he turned the knob only to find it locked. Of course, he wouldn't leave home without it being so. With a small little noise to himself, he began looking which pocket he had stashed his keys in earlier that night.

He, Rasiel, the older brother and the better brother, the king-- partnering up with Belphegor? The younger brother, the inferior brother? The man who was a mere prince?
The very notion of the idea was preposterous. Perhaps, if their situations were reversed-- if Rasiel was the Meister, not the Weapon, and Belphegor was the one who had only recently come to Death City, then maybe he would have considered it.
(No, he wouldn't have; Rasiel wouldn't have gotten himself in this situation in the first place. He, unlike his brother, was much more flexible in interacting with others, and clearly, he would have been able to find a Weapon for himself if he was in Belphegor's situation.)
But when Belphegor was the Meister? When Rasiel was the tool?
Absurd. It would not happen. Rasiel had lived twenty-seven years without being upped by his brother once (his first death did not count; Belphegor cheated then)-- he would not let this change now of all times.
Now he was no longer lax about getting a partner; with Belphegor being one who would most likely seek after him for partnership, Rasiel needed to find himself someone else who would be willing to be his partner. And it couldn't be hard, could it? After all-- who wouldn't want to be partners with a king?
Until then, he swore to avoid his lookalike. This was actually a task that he knew would prove more difficult to be than the other; after all, Belphegor knew this place better than he did, which was surely an advantage; adding that with the fact that Rasiel had no idea whatsoever about how much free time his brother had (which, he deduced, would most likely be a lot of time), it would not take too long to find him. There were not that many places of residency for newcomers, and he couldn't trust the maintainers of the apartments to keep his location a secret.
In order to counter this advantage, he'd have to start early. Seven, that seemed like a decent time to go out and look for a partner; normal people woke up at this time, right? His brother, god curse his soul, was, as Siel knew, lazy-- there wasn't a large of a chance that he would actually be out and about at this time of day. It was perfect, his "plan". There couldn't be anything that could go wrong; Siel was a genius, after all, and he'd know whether a plan was brotherproof or not-- and this one was definitely brotherproof.
Or so he thought, until he opened the door.

But what he saw caused him to pause, the keys completely forgotten about as the shock slowly registered and faded from his mind. Just what were the fucking odds?
It didn't take long at all for the initial surprise to wear off and the grin to come to Bel's face. Oh yes, this made things much easier in the long run. "Shishi... Morning Siel~"
Already his hand was moving from his keys to were he kept one of his knives. If the bastard wouldn't show his weapon form, Bel would make him show it.
