and then that word grew louder and louder till it was a battle cry [OPEN]
Characters: Miles Edgeworth, possibly YOU?
Location: Horrorspital
Rating: PG for...um, IDK possible discussions of violence and blood and maybe even actual violence?
Time: Oct. 23, the entire day...or the 24th...or the 25th. Specify if you're dropping in on him on a different day.
Description: Miles is recovering after their mission in India. Bother him? Oh, and threadjacking is welcome if you want to walk in on others paying him a visit! AND AND AND you can use either action tags or prose, whichever floats your boat.P.S. I JUST REALIZED HOW APROPOS THIS TITLE IS OKAY.
Miles Edgeworth was wide awake.
Not only that, he was sitting up, propped by several pillows, and reading a book on his lap - although if one lingered long enough to observe him, they would notice that he only turned the pages with his right hand. His left arm was in a cast, and the wounds on his right arm and cheek were dressed accordingly. Injuries aside, he seemed to be doing just fine - fine enough to open one of the books he borrowed from the Shibusen library. And of course, he didn't lose his voice or catch laryngitis this time.
The Agency would be fine without him for a week; Light and Near would make sure of that. Miles wondered if they would receive any new recruits soon - especially now that more guests had arrived. He had heard the news, of course; news of new people would often spread like wildfire.
Speaking of guests...well, let's just say there was one guest Miles would rather not see in the Agency, or anywhere in Death City for that matter...

He WASN'T going to visit especially when he saw, uhm, Franziska's aggressiveness over the network when she was demanding Edgeworth's room number from his partner but well. The poor guy might not get visitors so he might as well drop by, dump flowers on, probably test if he really is injured then leave.
Best plan of action! ]
Oh, good. No one's here.
no subject
Hello there, my sister is really like that.]
Prince Ludwig.
no subject
Ludwig gives him a once-over, noting the injuries, before he shrugs. ]
You look alive, Miles Edgeworth. I was almost expecting you half-dead.
no subject
Anyhow, he grins at this statement. Well, he WAS worse when he first came in. Much, much worse. And when he shrugs, he winces slightly.]
Hmph. Forgive me for disappointing you, your Highness.
no subject
[ Ludwig sits down on the chair, absently propping up his legs on the side of the bed. If his foot hits Edgeworth's injured arm accidentally, then it's an accident :| NO COMPLAINTS ]
Though has your little sister come by already to whip you back into shape?
no subject
Franziska has yet to arrive.
[But he's sure she'll come. In due time.]
was that my cue, bro?
Miles Edgeworth!

You guys haven't been thrown out by the nurses yet
hey! it was franzy who jacked this thread :|
well Ludwig was jacking her little brother! or something like that...
...still, the nurses seem to be fine with the overstaying
the nurses should kick out franzy for making noise
the nurses should kick miles out for screaming a lot
HEY HE DOES NOT SCREAM...A LOT
i don't think 'ungooooh' counts as screaming . . .
fine. horrid animalistic howling. it's still noise.

It was for that reason that the man was making his way to Edgeworth's room at that moment with a chessboard tucked under his arm. The Meister knocked once before letting himself in.
"Edgeworth...?" he blinked, though, the moment he saw that the man was awake and looking quite decent for someone who'd be stuck in bed for a while. "Oh. You're looking pretty good."
no subject
Miles smirked at the remark, closing his book gingerly. "I have spent enough time sleeping, and I cannot waste time lying idly for the rest of the day." Of course, he knew he needed to rest, but reading was one way to rest, right?
His eyes hovered briefly on the chessboard Roy carried. That smirk, if possible, grew a touch wider.
lolol threadjacking
Things were okay though, so Phoenix left once he was done and made his way over towards the clinic where Edgeworth was. He didn't take anything with him, since he knew that the other would be occupied enough as it was with those giant law books; still, the prosecutor could make do with some human company.
--not that he had really expected anybody else to be there at the same time as him, which did surprise Phoenix when he poked his head through the open door and noticed Roy there as well. "Ah, it seems you have visitors today."
Yaaay~
"If my own experience in the clinic was any measure, things are needed to break the monotony."
'Things' being games, in their case. Chess being foremost on the list.
OH YOU GUYS
And to Roy, he said, "I agree; that is why I requested that some books, as well as my organizer, be brought to my room." Just because the prosecutor was going to be here for quite a while was no excuse to slack off on work - or fall behind on studying.
\o/
Turning towards Edgeworth at his words, the Weapon only made a small snort of amusement when he heard them. "As long as you don't overwork yourself - that'd be counter-productive to you healing up." Not that Phoenix actually had any problems with that, in a way - at least in the hospital, his partner would be safe and Phoenix himself would have less to worry about when he finally went on his first (secret) mission with Minako. Whenever that would be, anyway.
SUP GUYS I'M KIND OF LATE.

There had been a nurse showing her around at first, but she had been called away for something more important than showing a curious guest around. Aqua had been allowed to keep looking as long as she didn't bother the patients or else.
Which was why she had avoided going into any of the rooms...except, this door was left slightly ajar. Did that mean there was no one inside?
She looked around for a bit before her gaze settled on the door again.
One look wouldn't hurt, right?
Giving in to her curiosity, she pushed the door open a bit further, wincing when it creaked a little, and poked her head in.
Ah...there was someone inside.
no subject
"Yes?" he asked, turning to look at her.
no subject
"I'm sorry, I was just looking around. I didn't mean to disturb you." She gave the man inside an apologetic look. She glanced around, "So this is a hospital room...?" She murmured more to herself than anything.
She couldn't say that, given the choice, she would choose to spend her time recovering here.
no subject
Did she not know what a hospital room is, or looked like? Well, considering the wide range of guests BREW loved to drag into Death City, it was possible. And perhaps this girl was new to the place.
"You are new here?"
no subject
"Ah...I hadn't expected one to look like this."
She paused for a moment before stepping into the room fully, but stayed closer to the door in case he wanted her to leave.
"Yes, I just arrived yesterday."

Mister Frilly Frills surely had a lot on his mind, what with being stuck in bed all day, right? He would need someone to talk to about everything, right? Right. America let out a pleased little huff of air through his nose as he walked down the halls of the hospital, swinging the stuffed gift bag in his hands back and forth as he went.
Finally, he came to the right room and stuck his head in with a winning smile and a booming voice. "Hey, guess who's here to make you feel better?!"
no subject
"M-Mr. America?"

Miles did find himself glancing at the gift bag. He had to admit, he was curious...
