Pageant!

The pageant will be held at one of the stages closer to the entrance to Nocturne, where people board. It is night time so the weather is cool, but there are plenty of lights to make sure people can see where they are going, and the stage is lit even better.

It's a large space, decorated quite splendidly and all the contestants both male and female are lined up, interacting with their fellow competitors, the audience as a whole, and anyone who wishes to speak to them.

((ooc; pardon the late, folks, but here it is at last! Some people were tied or dropped icly/oocly so some runner ups were chosen. There will be a thread for each contestant so they can be asked questions/interacted with, but feel free to make other threads, folks in the audience! Just like with the other polls feel free to vote with each of your characters.))

Shizuo probably shouldn't have lit up that cigarette after all. He recognised Minato from the other day, but, again, he hadn't been wearing a dress when he spoke to him either.

Of course, now he knows why people are running around in dresses. It... doesn't make it any less surreal though.

Give him a minute, he just needs to get over the coughing fit.

That coughing fit has let Minato register you as there, Shizuo. He turns around, his expression questioning.

"You okay..?"

Well, Shizuo doesn't really blend into crowds anyway. He clears his throat, and decides to keep the cigarette in his hand for the moment.

"... You're part of the pageant too?"

Minato shrugs, which is as good as an acknowledgement.

"I was, but I lost already. Good thing I didn't shave my legs..."

Wow. He really didn't need that much information.

"Ah. I see... why did you... uh."

Poor Shizuo. He looks a little out of his depth. On the other hand, at least the dresses aren't such a surprise anymore. Just the reason behind why everyone's going along with this.

"... Aren't you uncomfortable in that?"

"It's breezy..."

To demonstrate, Minato grips the hems of his skirt, widens slightly, and takes a few tentative steps forward and a few tentative steps backward.

"Very breezy."

What exactly can you say to that? Seriously?

"That's a good thing?"

It's probably impossible for Shizuo to feel any more uncomfortable than he already does. Hopefully.

Minato shrugs. "It's different. Might be better for the weather here..."

To accentuate how hot this desert is, he billows the fabric of the skirt in and out to create an interior wind-current. A false boob falls from inside the dress as a result.

It bounces. It bounces and lands on Shizuo's shoe.

Okay then. A logical person would probably be able to work out exactly what it was that just dropped out of Minato's dress, but Shizuo is not exactly a logical person. All he knows it 'that looks very weird' and 'that's Minato's'.

So he stares at it for a couple of minutes, before leaning down to scoop up the weird object - holding it tentatively though, he might not be smart but he's surrounded by crossdressing people - and then holding it out to Minato. He's pretty sure it's something weird, but is trying not to think about it thank you.

"You dropped this."

Not even batting an eyelash, Minato accepts the offered boob and begins stuffing it back down the front of his shirt, left side. After some adjustments, he stops looking so lopsided. (And if it wasn't before, it's very obvious now as to what that fallen object was.)

"Thanks."
