I found him while I was seeing what I could do to help and-" Clare kept going into a rather useless hurried explanation of what she had seen out in the city since the quake hit. She'd mostly shut out seeing the blood after trying to stop the bleeding with her scarf... which did little for the problem.

Clare was shaking a little as she helped the man towards a room. He'd stopped screaming as much as when they were trying to get here. She wasn't sure if that was good or bad, she didn't know anything in this case. This was even worse than arriving her, then all she had was fear, now she had fear and a crippling uselessness.

And she still felt on the verge of throwing up.
