[OPEN] Earthquake Event

It's early in the morning -- just after morning training -- when the ground beneath Death City shakes violently in what most of you might recognize as an earthquake. It's not a particularly huge one for the more experienced of the guests, but it sends cracks shooting through the cobblestoned ground of Death City and up the sides of some buildings. A small handful of structures, mostly those that have been abandoned in the course of this war or the very old ones, take the most damage and topple over or crumble at their foundations.

The earthquake lasts no more than half a minute, but the vibrations and aftershocks last through the day. Death City's streets become full of holes, from those the size of apples to what could be described as deep ditches. The greatest damage, however, is the commercial sector, which becomes flooded as the waterways take damage and spill water into the streets. Shibusen's alarms blare out and quick, urgent orders to fix the waterways and search for the injured or anyone trapped in rubble filter in through all networks.

Then you should be somewhere resting instead of out here checking on me.

[ He isn't going to an outright lie to her and say if he is.] It isn't something that i can't deal with. And like you said, the hospital has bigger things to deal with.

I'm fine...! [she didn't want to go back to the Hospital - that place was depressing - and she understood why he didn't either]

... what are you doing, anyway? Helping people?

[naniwarocky]

Well I still want you to go once everything settles down.

[Sendo gives a little nod to her question.]

Yeah. Ever since the earthquake hit.

[sayatakagi]

That's so you. And I've been looking for you all over!

[naniwarocky]

I didn't mean to make you worry about me, Saya. [But yeah, he knows he should have checked in sooner.]

Have you been back to the apartment yet?

[sayatakagi]

I was there during the earthquake. I turned into my weapon form, that's how I escaped without being hurt. [too badly, at least] The apartment is a mess.

[naniwarocky]

[Sendo doesn't know if it is a good or bad thing that he was out. Since he couldn't have easily escaped being seriously hurt like she could.]

I'm not looking forward to cleaning that place up.

[sayatakagi]

Neither am I. [anyway, Saya pats Sendo's arm] Come on, I'll help you looking for people who might have been hurt.

[naniwarocky]

Alright, come on. We might be able to make use of your megaphone voice to contact survivors trapped in the buildings.

[sayatakagi]

[DFJHDBGJFBGJ!! Oh look, Saya's screaming now]

I don't have a megaphone voice!!

[naniwarocky]

[fksdjf Always so loud.] You realize you are using your megaphone voice right now?

[sayatakagi]

This is my angry voice! Because you make me angry!

[naniwarocky]

You can call it whatever you want. You are still as loud as a megaphone.

[sayatakagi]

[opens mouth to scream a bit more, but she closes it before that]

[huffs]

My voice is perfectly fine like this.

I never said there was anything wrong with it. [He starts to walk along at a pace easy for her to follow.]

[sayatakagi]

[she follows him, hands behind her back] Good, then.

[naniwarocky]

[Timeskip to them returning to their place after the search?]

[sayatakagi]

[Sure! Cleaning up won't be fun, though.]

[naniwarocky]

[Cleaning never is. When the finally get back to the apartment and he gets a look at it, he sighs.]

[sayatakagi]

[Saya enters, careful where she is stepping, and after looking around, she sighs and starts picking up what's on the floor. They have to start somewhere.]

By the way, Sendo. I never asked you this, but what do you think of Shibusen?

[naniwarocky]

[He just watches, not starting to pick anything up yet.]

Shibusen? I don't know. I never gave the place too much thought..why?

[sayatakagi]

No, I meant the people. Spirit, Maka, Death the Kid... the whole organization we are supposedly fighting for. Or even BREW.

[Saya places the things back into their places or - the broken ones - at a corner to alter throw away]

[naniwarocky]

I haven't really had extended contact with them. But they don't seem like they are dishonest or anything. [He ventures off into his room, but he speaks loud enough for her to hear him.]

What do you think about them?

[sayatakagi]

My opinion doesn't extend to them as people, just their methods. [she speaks back loud enough too]

You see, a wish was asked to BREW, that's why we are here. "Stop the war, stop the madness wavelength". Something like that. [Saya stops what she is doing for a moment] But there are many ways of stopping a war, Sendo. You don't even need a "winner" and a "loser". And even if they did specify that they wanted Shibusen to win, there can be a much bigger price to pay for it.

Maybe the BREW is like..those genies in those stories. Gives you what you want, but twists it in a way.

[He searches around in his mess of a closet for some of the wrapping that he puts onto his hands when he's training.]
