[OPEN] Earthquake Event

It's early in the morning -- just after morning training -- when the ground beneath Death City shakes violently in what most of you might recognize as an earthquake. It's not a particularly huge one for the more experienced of the guests, but it sends cracks shooting through the cobblestoned ground of Death City and up the sides of some buildings. A small handful of structures, mostly those that have been abandoned in the course of this war or the very old ones, take the most damage and topple over or crumble at their foundations.

The earthquake lasts no more than half a minute, but the vibrations and aftershocks last through the day. Death City's streets become full of holes, from those the size of apples to what could be described as deep ditches. The greatest damage, however, is the commercial sector, which becomes flooded as the waterways take damage and spill water into the streets. Shibusen's alarms blare out and quick, urgent orders to fix the waterways and search for the injured or anyone trapped in rubble filter in through all networks.

[Her ears flick and she spots Roy. She nods; it's not good and they'll have to move quickly.]

[She woofs and continues onward, the man still on her back.]

[Following, following~ Glancing at the guy to check his condition, then turning back to his companion.]

Where did you pick this man up?

[motherofthesun]

[Eh? Oh, she picked him up back by the Cinema]

[Hum!]

Did you see a lot of injured people?

[motherofthesun]

[Hm... not too many, but there was a still a number of them.]

[Hum. At least the damage wasn't catastrophic... it could always be worse.]

Once we get this man to the hospital, let's see if we can help other folks out, eh?

Ruf!

[Yes, yes. They need to get everyone who needs help.]

[At least they're close to where they've got to be. Immediately calling for some assistance once they're inside, and waiting until one of the doctors on duty has taken the man for them.

Glancing at his companion once that's done.]

Let's head back out.

[The hospital staff doesn't look happy with her appearance. Really, a wet wolf, but what can you do? She looks up at Roy and nods. Yeah, she just sat down to get a breather, but they have to hurry.]

[And leading the way this time!]

Heard from my crew that the Shopping District's the one that was pretty badly hit. Let's focus our efforts there.

[And she follows at a trot. Alright, but she has to check other areas too later.]

[Looking around, occasionally tuning in to respond to folks contacting him on the network.]

Financial and Services should be where we'll need to send people next. Flooding is pretty bad over there.

[motherofthesun]

[That district? It's a little crowded on a normal day so it makes sense... Well, she's ready whenever they get there.]

[Pausing the moment they hit the outskirts, looking about. Then picking a street and turning into it --

-- headlong into what looks like a tiny crisis with a collapsed building. Nodding to Ameterasu.]

Let's get started.

[motherofthesun]

[A nod and she gets to it. Her ears rotate and her muzzle scrunches a bit as she sniffs, moving towards the collapsed building. Easy does it here; have to make sure she's not about to step on anyone.]

[Roy is following in the meantime, occasionally diverted by distressed civilians who are looking for somebody to tell them that everything's okay.

Lmao, being a leader.]

[Occupying work, isn't it?]

[A few more sniffs and soon... she double checks. Once more...]

Ruf ruf! [She proceeds to digging]

[Spotting her at that, and calling for some of the volunteers in the area to follow him and help.]

[motherofthesun]

[She's tossing aside some larger bits of rubble with her fangs, but human hands coming to help works too.]

[With their combined efforts, it doesn't take them long at all to dig out the woman who had been trapped underneath.

Once they're done saving her, Roy's backing, finding a good wall to slump against.]

I'll need to take a break for a bit.

[motherofthesun]

[Amaterasu watched them take the woman away, but then followed Roy with her eyes as he walked over to the wall. For a moment, she just sat there, but then, she trotted over and sat before him.]

[Reaching out tiredly to scratch her between the ears.]

It's a good thing you're here.

[motherofthesun]

[She whines happily at the praise, letting her tail swish at the pets.]

If you were on the Watch, I'd pay you extra for all of this.

[Jokingly.]

[She whines and tilts her head. She doesn't really care for currency... besides donating it.]
