[OPEN] Earthquake Event
Characters: OPEN
Location: Death City
Rating: Varied
Time: Jan 22
Description: OOC post here.
It's early in the morning -- just after morning training -- when the ground beneath Death City shakes violently in what most of you might recognize as an earthquake. It's not a particularly huge one for the more experienced of the guests, but it sends cracks shooting through the cobblestoned ground of Death City and up the sides of some buildings. A small handful of structures, mostly those that have been abandoned in the course of this war or the very old ones, take the most damage and topple over or crumble at their foundations.
The earthquake lasts no more than half a minute, but the vibrations and aftershocks last through the day. Death City's streets become full of holes, from those the size of apples to what could be described as deep ditches. The greatest damage, however, is the commercial sector, which becomes flooded as the waterways take damage and spill water into the streets. Shibusen's alarms blare out and quick, urgent orders to fix the waterways and search for the injured or anyone trapped in rubble filter in through all networks.
ooc: Like always, please feel free to start your own threads. Follow the subject line format:

[Automail shop/Afternoon] If that's alright with you!
[Dave did exactly what he said he'd do, which was keep the automail shop clean, or as clean as one can get when they knew jackshit of what everything was exactly. He didn't exactly want to explain of stuff got lost because he didn't know what it was.
Except, now everything had to be cleaned up or rearranged. Dave already made sure the apartment was fine (albeit it was a little messy now) and went to check on the shop after he was sure that things had settled and after he helped some people out of they were injured or trapped. Now he was just looking at a mess.]
Absolutely! I assume it's been... 2 days or so? Since Dave signed up for the Watch!
...Oho.]
Dave.
Yes, that's fine! :>
Were you planning on doing a redesign of the shop? Because you sure as fucking can now.
Or we can leave it like this. It'll be some new, ironic way to present shops.
Cool. And I'm guessing his post to Mustang's post came before this. XD
I DO EVERYTHING IN ORDER OBVIOUSLY.
ORDER IS OVERRATED ANYWAY.
/PUNCHES ORDER. IN THE FACE.

Shopping District, early afternoon?
[He's busy scanning the street for signs of life when he notices another person on the street--and looks again, when he realizes...] Watch Commander.
[He is polite and respectful, and almost-but-not-quite sounds like he's expecting instruction of some kind.]

Shopping District, Around 1 -- Hopefully this is alright?
Right after the earthquake hit, there had been an old man who had lost his glasses, which had fallen off his head during the shaking. Turned out he stepped on them, too, so Kratos had to escort him to get new ones since otherwise the man would've likely walked into a tree. After leaving the old man to purchase a new pair, a woman carrying groceries a short distance away tripped and sprung her wrist, which left to Kratos help her carry the groceries back to her home. Once that was done, a little, lost girl who'd tripped and fallen down caught his eye. No way could he just leave her there. That good deed involved the purchasing of cute band-aids and a lollipop. After searching various businesses in the area that the girl thought her mommy could've worked at, they managed to find her and all was well.
While busy doing all that, Kratos had not only neglected going to his post but failed to check in with the Watch. Actually, he really has no clue what time it is right now.]
of course! ♥
Kratos, right?
[He's a bit relieved to see you, yes.]
♥
Yes, that's correct. Is there something you require of me?
[Kratos really doesn't realize that it's any later than 11.]

He spots Roy fairly easily and considers bypassing him so he can avoid getting lectured, but there's probably (hopefully) enough to distract from that right now. He makes his way over to him reluctantly.]
Hey. What can I lend a hand with?

I'll need people on crowd control.

Still, it was the task she had been given, and she'd carried it out. Now, though, it time to get her hands a little dirty.
At the moment, she's checking the alleyways for any stragglers that may not have been found. So far, everything's checked out, and she's grateful for that.]

Lieutenant. Any updates?
no subject
Things have calmed down significantly, sir. There wasn't much to see from headquarters, so I thought I'd take it upon myself to help now that the rest of the Watch is accounted for.
