Group Date at the Cafe~

Characters: [livejournal.com profile] fearless_tech, [livejournal.com profile] pianoman_soul, EVERYONE ELSE.
Location: Death By Pastry Cafe.
Rating: G for now.
Time: July 20th, early morning.
Description: Soul and Maka try to hook everyone up before the big battle.

Upon entering the cafe, one may notice a large spread of various desserts laid out on each table. Everything looked clean and tidy, and Maka was currently circling around every now and then, making sure everything was in place.

She never tried helping others form partnerships before, but hopefully it wouldn't be too difficult. She had her Soul Perception to see who may match well, and the trust games she had planned out might help strengthen bonds. Not that she went into too much detail about that.

"How does everything look?" she asked Soul.

He looked up at her from his seat, mostly preoccupied with his cupcake. He just nodded and gave her a thumbs up.

If anything, she thought this would prove interesting, and hopefully helpful despite it being short notice.

Doors now open, they were ready to begin.

[ooc: SORRY THIS IS LATE. But anyway, a quick note - since Soul and Maka were put in charge of helping people form partnerships, they're likely to be jumping in and out of threads, trying to introduce people and whatnot. Basically playing host. Oh, and feel free to use [action] tags if you prefer that!]

Of course! ...Why the sudden interest?

[A shrug]

The harder it is to use a new Weapon, the less likely Meisters will want to use it.

I don't think it works that way. I think the power to wield a Weapon comes from trust. You have to have a certain bond with your partner.

Trust...

How do you trust a stranger?

[identity profile] notexcalibur.livejournal.com 2010-02-25 09:16 am (UTC)(link)
That is what this get-together is for. So that people can make friends and forge partnerships.

[Another nod, though he looks doubtful.]

[identity profile] notexcalibur.livejournal.com 2010-02-25 09:52 am (UTC)(link)
[he understands your concern] I believe it will work with mister Walker and myself because he is my citizen. I care about him, and he loves his country.

[identity profile] queensharbour.livejournal.com 2010-02-25 09:57 am (UTC)(link)
Things should work out well then.

[do you really believe that, Hong Kong? or are you just humoring him] ...I hope so.

You didn't only meet him here, did you?

[identity profile] notexcalibur.livejournal.com 2010-02-25 11:47 am (UTC)(link)
I met him over the network a while back.

[identity profile] queensharbour.livejournal.com 2010-02-25 12:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Then you aren't complete strangers. It shouldn't be too hard.

[identity profile] notexcalibur.livejournal.com 2010-02-25 12:04 pm (UTC)(link)
...Yeah. Plus, I already feel as though I knew him from before.

[identity profile] queensharbour.livejournal.com 2010-02-25 12:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Because he's your citizen?

[identity profile] notexcalibur.livejournal.com 2010-02-25 12:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. [pauses when he notices some of the refreshments are running low, and he smiles back at Hong Kong] Hey, James, I should finish up here. We'll meet at home, alright? After I visit Gilbert.

[A nod and he waves his guardian off. He needed to see to getting his own partner anyway, keeping what England had said in mind.]

I'll see you then.
