EVENT: Witch Attack on the City!
Characters: Everyone and anyone
Location: Anywhere in Death City!
Rating: PG-13
Time: August 23
Description: There's a Witch attack on the city and, to make matters worse, there's a dangerous individuals while Meister powers go completely out of control
The evening before there had been a PSA going around the network and the radio to watch out for an individual causing trouble in the city and a reminder to please stay indoors if possible.
Then around midnight something distinctly...strange happens. At first, Weapons probably won't notice, because it's only Meisters who suddenly find their powers flaring up for no apparent reason even when they're not trying to use them.
There's a two hour window where the abilities become stronger until it's practically impossible to control before the alarms in the city sound.
Kishin Eggs have been spotted entering the city in droves and this time they haven't come alone...
((OOC: Please put [Character | Location | OPEN/CLOSED ] in your subject header. Also, please specify in the subject header if you've signed up for a Witch encounter!))

Rosalia + Count D | Casualty Communal -> Clinic | Open
"Ah--!"
Kishin eggs were coming down the street and it looked like familiars too. Her eyes widened and she turned her head in the direction of the Clinic. But she looked back at D. What was she supposed to do?
no subject
They were somewhat monstrous looking and he couldn't seem to divine their human forms. But perhaps, he could gain some assistance against his abductors from these creatures. He started to step closer, holding an arm out as if he intended to pet them.
Rosalia might have to stop him before he ends up getting himself killed...
no subject
Rosalia grabbed D's sleeve before he could get too close and too far. Tiny she may be, she planted her feet to hold him back, shaking her head.
"Don't touch them... They're Witch familiars." He could probably sense her shaking through his clothes. "If they see you, they'll try eating you." Surprising they haven't sniffed either of them out. Instead, they were going on to attack someone else nearby.
no subject
"I assure you I'm quite good with animals and should be able to calm the creatures."
With the man having gotten away, the moose now stopped and turned its attention to them, lowering its head as if it were preparing to charge again.
no subject
Noticing the moose looking at them, she stepped in front of D even though her legs shook. Without knowing if he was a Meister or Weapon, he was pretty much the most vulnerable between them. This wouldn't be good for work, but she wasn't going to let D get hurt.
no subject
The count stepped around her, murmuring soothing words as he approached the moose but the animal wouldn't be so easily calmed. It charged and fortunately for D, his Weapon instincts were better than his animal taming skills in this world. He transformed as the moose was about to toss him into the air with its antlers and an elaborate incense burner went flying towards Rosalia.
no subject
Holding him close, she quickly ran before the moose could come around and charge again. Her soul, in the meantime, reached out.
"Are you okay?"
no subject
Then, he heard Rosalia speaking to him. But it was more as if he could hear her thoughts as he'd been able to hear those of Chris. And where was he? All he could see was darkness around him. And his clothes had disappeared?
Despite his previous calm, his voice was actually a bit shaky now. "...I don't know. Where am I and what happened to my robe?"
no subject
"Remember how I explained some Guests are Meisters and others are Weapons and the scan would've told us? Most Weapons learn how to transform in defense and... it looks like you're a Weapon."
Though, how would someone use a... music box? It was pretty - she still didn't know how his Weapon form would work. She slowed at the next corner with a sigh, realizing how out of breath she was. What was going on? She shouldn't be this tired already.
no subject
Now that her soul had connected with his, fragrant smoke began to curl through the filigree cover, shapeless floral scented wisps for now.
"Are you all right, Miss Rosalia?" He had his own problems with endurance and noticed the girl seemed out of breath despite the short distance.
no subject
Blinking, Rosalia watched the smoke rising and moved her hands away from the holes. What was it? It smelled nice.
"I feel like I ran up Shibusen's stairs without stopping for some reason..." It definitely wasn't normal, but she had no idea why she might be tired.
no subject
"Strange..." D had even less of an idea of what might be wrong considering he'd only arrived a couple of hours ago. But the smoke continued to flow from the incense burner. One wisp looked vaguely like a butterfly...
no subject
About to ask what was strange now, she was distracted when the smoke seemed to take shape. She tilted her head. "A... butterfly?"
no subject
"A butterfly?" He looked up and finally realized he could see beyond the darkness. The smoke shifted a bit, seeming to become more solid. The insect hovered in the air, flapping its wings. "Is that smoke?" Like the incense he so often gave his customers...
no subject
Watching the butterfly flutter away, it took a moment for Rosalia to reply. "Yeah, it's smoke..." She didn't know what it was doing, but it disappeared when it hit the moose's nose. It snorted and shook its head, soon shaking it again as it stumbled. Yeah, they wouldn't really hurt anything...
no subject
Was it just the imagination or was that spot on the moose's nose darkening? It was difficult to tell with only the streetlamps for illumination.
no subject
It was tossing its head and bucking. However, nothing was around or on it. Still, it strutted, stomped, and snorted angrily, but Rosalia stepped back when she spotted it. There was blood coming out of its nose.
no subject
And why did that moose appear so agitated? Some unseen insects biting at it? But surely the bucking would have tossed them off. And was that blood? This made little sense.
But the moose spotted them and decided to take out its aggression on them. It lowered its head as if to charge towards Rosalia.
no subject
Her eyes widened when she realized the moose was coming at her. With a quick spark of energy, she stepped aside and ran, the new butterfly dissipating at the moose's leg hit it. The bruise on its nose also appeared on its leg. The blood, once just dripping from its nose was now coming from the corner of its eyes and ears, but Rosalia was running. She wasn't going to watch the animal deteriorate. She had to get to the clinic and protect D.
no subject
"Jewelry box? Does it resemble a bowl with curved feet and a filigree lid? I often gave such incense burners to customers when they purchased a pet at my shop. But that doesn't explain what is happening to that moose."
no subject
"Curved feet?" She gave the Weapon a look over again and soon nodded. "Yes, you have those... an incense burner? What's that?"
no subject
As he explained, more butterfly-like curls of smoke formed. Noticing she had stopped outside a large building and planted herself outside the doors, he asked, "Where are we?"
no subject
She's never heard or smelled it before. Watching the butterflies for a moment, she looked back at the clinic. "The Horrorspital. It's the Guest-run clinic and I have patients inside. I can't let the kishin eggs reach them."
no subject
"That's correct. Incense is plant based material burned for fragrance. Some cultures use it for religious purposes but other people simply use it as fragrance for their homes."
Meanwhile, something else had appeared down the street, a creature that once might have been human but now had distorted limbs and grotesque features with a face that almost looked melted.
"You're a doctor, Miss Rosalia?" And your desire is to protect your patients? Perhaps, the butterflies might help..." He wasn't sure why but the incense seemed as if it somehow poisoned that moose earlier. The butterflies, nearly a dozen now, fluttered in the air as if waiting for something.
no subject
Rosalia looked ahead, spotting the creature and gripped the incense burner harder.
"I'm still in training compared to my brother and others, but I study and do what I can to help everyone." Somewhat fearful at the butterflies, she was fortunately more determined to keep the Kishin egg away.
