EVENT: Witch Attack on the City!
Characters: Everyone and anyone
Location: Anywhere in Death City!
Rating: PG-13
Time: August 23
Description: There's a Witch attack on the city and, to make matters worse, there's a dangerous individuals while Meister powers go completely out of control
The evening before there had been a PSA going around the network and the radio to watch out for an individual causing trouble in the city and a reminder to please stay indoors if possible.
Then around midnight something distinctly...strange happens. At first, Weapons probably won't notice, because it's only Meisters who suddenly find their powers flaring up for no apparent reason even when they're not trying to use them.
There's a two hour window where the abilities become stronger until it's practically impossible to control before the alarms in the city sound.
Kishin Eggs have been spotted entering the city in droves and this time they haven't come alone...
((OOC: Please put [Character | Location | OPEN/CLOSED ] in your subject header. Also, please specify in the subject header if you've signed up for a Witch encounter!))

Kyoko and Mami | Various | Closed
And it became even worse when the alarms started going off.
The only cause she could figure out for this were the strange... creatures that have somehow crept into the city. Knowing enough that those things were Kishin eggs, and that she would only be able to take them down as part of a pair, Kyoko took refuge in order to call up the one Meister she knew she could trust in a situation like this.
"Mami-san," she spoke into her communicator, voice hushed and urgent, but steady and composed. "Where are you right now?"
no subject
She was in the middle of clutching her head and trying to find a place where less people were around when the call came through. D-damn, she couldn't ignore this. She answered quickly, sounding just a little bit frazzled.
"I'm... outside somewhere, I ... I lost track of where... I'm sorry..."
no subject
"What all is around? I'm going to come find you."
That definitely doesn't sound menacing at all good job Kyoko.
no subject
Damn, that wasn't helpful, Mami silently berated herself, but she'd be damned if it wasn't really hard to concentrate right now...
"J-just a couple of... blocks away, I think..."
From the park. DAMMIT, she was making so little sense.
no subject
"Sit tight, I'll be right there."
She'll keep the communication channel open, though. Just in case. But with that wrapped up, she waits for an opening to leave her hiding spot, moving swiftly through the city in order to find Mami. It's kind of rough, having to dodge out of harms way instead of diving in to take out some of these things, but she manages well enough. Soon, she's within a few blocks of the park and begins to circle the area while calling out for the other girl.
"Mami-san!" A pause, waiting for a reply, before trying again. "Mami!" Gee, there sure are a lot of people to dodge in this area. Hopefully she'll be able to find her...

"S-Sakura-san... Thank goodness..."
no subject
There's plenty of concern rolling off of Kyoko that Mami is likely to pick up on, but at the same time she's making a large effort to stay as composed as possible amid the panic of the citizens. Her resolve is likely enough to mask some of that feeling, so at least it shouldn't be overwhelming. In spite of her worry, Kyoko knows that there's little time to try and figure out what's wrong.
"If you stay out here alone, one of those things is likely to try and eat you." The redhead shuts off the communication channel through her mirror before slipping it quickly into her pocket and holding her hand out to Mami. "Let's get rid of some of 'em before they try and do the same to anyone else."
no subject
Making an effort to calm her mind, Mami took a deep breath before grabbing her friend's hand.
"Yes, we'll... They won't get past us!"
Her attempt to be as flamboyant as usual fell a little short, but she felt that giving a good effort was worth it at least.
no subject
Kyoko's attempts at establishing resonance have a little more finesse than last time. There's no rushing or forceful pushing, and there's no time to screw around or risk doing anything that might make the Meister's concentration falter even more.
"Just focus on this," she says, firing up her soul even more than normal, hoping that the stronger presence will give Mami some sort of anchor. "We can take these things easily."
no subject
"We've taken on enemies worse than these before, haven't we?"
She sounded more natural now, though still a tiny bit strained as she spun Kyoko between her hands and started walking slowly.
no subject
"That's right." Not that she's positive, but she is a pro at faking confidence. The act has never steered her wrong before! "Let's get 'em."
no subject
"Mmm, hopefully I'll hit more often than I miss. Is... that what they look like?"
Welp, there sure was a Kishin Egg there, hmm.
no subject
"Just go for it like it's a Witch, we'll be able to take it down, no problem!"
no subject
As she slowly approached the creature, Mami was struck by the fact that... well, it seemed so much different from Witches. It shouldn't have surprised her, but it still did. She readied Kyoko and took a deep breath.
"Ready?"
She didn't even really wait for a reply before charging at the creature. She knew that Kyoko was ready for battle. She always seemed to be.
no subject
Her lingering concern over Mami's behavior is apparent in the fact that her enthusiasm isn't really the same as the previous time she resonated with the blonde, with her focus more narrowed down on getting rid of the problem quickly rather than seeming to enjoy the situation. Her soul flares up as the Egg approaches the two of them, ready to go into combat.
no subject
Of course, not having any actual combat experience with Kyoko, she only manages to wound the creature, causing it to shriek with rage.
"...darn, I missed the vital areas...!"
no subject
"Go again! While it's distracted by that last strike!"
no subject
Mami wastes no time in turning to face the thing again, spinning Kyoko around in the process. It's only moments before she's charging again, this time managing to actually stab the thing directly in the stomach.
"Will this... do...?"
She asks as she forcefully digs Kyoko deeper into the creature.
no subject
"Yeah! Just don't let up!" Because this thing sure isn't about to. Even as Mami drives the weapon deeper in, the Kishin Egg lets out a roar of pain.
"Slash to the side, that should take it down."
no subject
And so she promptly drives the tip of the blade into the Egg a few more times, hitting its vital spots violently.
no subject
"Don't stop now, there's another one coming up from behind!"
no subject
"Where?? I don't... see it..."
It didn't help that all of the emotions are making every sense kind of... difficult to focus on.
