Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 17th.

Finding a Partner

Morgan LeFlay | Meister

[There was a new face at the partner finding area this morning. Or above it, to be exact.]

[Morgan stood on a low branch of a tree overlooking the area and surveyed the people below. So far, the pirate hunter wasn't impressed. She didn't really want a partner but those wimps at the school refused to let her accept any of their jobs without one of those Weapon people tagging along. So, she was here as suggested by that girl over the voodoo mirror.]

[Giroro was pretty easy to miss if no one looked down. People tended to lose sight of him due to the height of everyone else around him.

Which is why he tended to stand off to a side. In this case, near the tree Morgan had parked herself in. He had his arms crossed and he was watching the people gathered here critically.]

[Morgan didn't get to be a notorious pirate hunter without being more observant than the average pirate and it wasn't long before she noticed something short and red below. Some type of animal?]

[Jumping off the branch, she did a flip in mid-air before landing on her feet in front of the strange creature to assess it. Not a monkey. Nor a dog or cat. She'd guess someone's pet from the hat and belt. Not realizing it could talk, she'd just continue to scrutinize it, trying to decide what it was.]

[To his credit, Giroro didn't even flinch when someone landed in front of him. He waited for her to say something, but when she just went on staring he frowned at her.]

What are you staring at?

[When it spoke, Morgan merely raised an eyebrow. Another animal that knew human language, like that dog with the strange markings.]

What type of creature are you? [Its hide reminded her of a frog but its head was much too rotund.]

Valentine | Meister

[Ideal Weapons aside, Valentine can't be picky. She'd just have to go with whomever she came across and change her style to work with them accordingly. Short blades, long blades, pole arms, so long as it's not a gun... she rather see her enemy up close and personal. Now, what Weapons were here today?]

Erik Lehnsherr | Weapon

[theywillfearus]

[Let it be clear that Erik does not want to be here at all. He mostly wishes to observe. Approach with caution as the thought of doing anything for this place angers him. As he has yet to go on a mission himself, he is still under a strong impression that it is all a waste of time. If the opportunity resents itself then he may be willing to go on one for the sake of finding out for himself first-hand what this is all about.

And so he keeps to himself, his arms folded and his face wearing a mostly neutral expression.]

[Hyoubu doesn't actually have a nametag. He's not even supposed to be here (because he got pretty banged up in his fight with Sai) but got bored of just sitting around. So here he was. Sauntering into this area without bothering with a name tag. There was a familiar face though, so he made a beeline for Erik.]

So you're a Weapon?

[Erik looks over when he hears that familiar voice from the network. He looks like he may have seen better days. There was quite the mission recently though, so that would explain it. At being asked that question, he cannot help but cringe.]

Not my first choice, but yes.

I can understand why it wouldn't be.

[To be honest, it wouldn't have been Hyoubu's first choice either. Thank goodness he wasn't one then.]

But BREW has a pretty shitty sense of humor sometimes.

[At least this one does not want to question him on why he would not wish to be somebody else's weapon. The answer is pretty damn obvious either way.]

That it does. So...you are a Meister as they call it. What are you able to do?

[From the tree branch where Morgan is standing, she recognizes the man she had spoken to the other day, the one who also found this place's rules idiotic. So, Morgan leaps into the air, curling up into a ball and performing a somersault before landing on her feet on the ground and approaching.]

Seen anyone impressive yet? [Her tone implies she hasn't.]

[If there is anything to be said about Morgan, it is that she certainly know how to make an entrance. Erik sees her out of the corner of his eye and turns when she speaks. He too wears something of a disinterested expression.]

Not particularly. I did at least run into somebody else that I shared some similarities with. You don't sound as if anybody interesting has come along for yourself.

Not really. But that strange white dog is half-decent at fighting. [She'll admit that much after sparring with Amaterasu earlier.]

[She glances over at him.] I believe we agreed to a demonstration of your skills. [Right down to business...]

White dog...there really are all sorts of different species here that have talents I am not accustomed to seeing in my own world.

[He will not dwell on that though as Morgan gets down to business. He wastes no time in holding out his hand to her.]

Fair enough. I saw others holding hands before they transformed. I suppose that is easier than picking me up off the ground.

Hiro Kageyama | Meister

[everyonesconfidant]

[While he had been making plans to meet with Fujino for his possible first mission, Hiro thought that it wouldn't be a bad idea to keep his options open just in case. He'll be waiting around the area, people-watching for someone who looks like they might be friendly (and a Weapon).]

[Well, Giroro didn't look particularly friendly. He did have a tag on him that said he was a Weapon at least!

He also looked like a two feet tall red frog.

Giroro glanced at Hiro's tag.]

What kind of Weapon are you looking for?

[Another frog? Hiro remembered the one who was green and ended his sentences with "de arimasu," but he didn't know there was another frog here.]

Any weapon I can get, really. What kind of Weapon are you?

A beam rifle.

[He assumes everyone knows what that is. Yup.]

[Well, it sounds pretty self-explanatory... wouldn't hurt to double-check, though.]

So you shoot laser beams? Sounds pretty powerful.

Kaede - Meister

Kaede has resigned herself to lay against the grass on the field to relax in partner finding area. She wasn't looking too terribly hard since previous attempts haven't resulted in anything solid.

[Whoosh!]

Rainbow Dash flew by with great speed, a burst of wind following her path. "Hey, there lazy bones!" She circled around Kaede, remaining in the air. "This isn't warming up! Let's go! Let's go!"

You can call her Coach Rainbow Dash.

Kaede felt that gust of wind, knowing it had to be only one person.

"Woah it's you!" She sat up immediately and got up on her feet. "Didn't think you'd come."

Of course I'd come!

[Rainbow Dash landed and held out her hoof] I said I would, didn't I?
