Description: It's an evacuation! Get people out of there and keep the kishin eggs off of them!

The resort city of Tegus isn't doing so well. You can see the relief in the eyes of the local police when they see help has arrived, help that can actually deal with the strange monsters raising hell in the streets.

But nobody can rest easy yet. Even in a city of lovely as this, the kishin eggs - much less the witches - see no need to take care of the historical buildings and tourist spots, choosing instead to mark the old buildings with their claws and magic when they aren't hunting down and torturing fleeing, terrified civilians.

Help get them out of there and on their way to the safe zone- there are buses, vans and police cars under the heaviest guard waiting! When you see a witch, keep your head low and hope she didn't see you... unless you think you've got the bite to back up your bark!

*The first thing that struck the dhampir were the people fleeing in terror. The next thing that struck the dhampir was what the people were fleeing from.*

Raidou! Are you ready?

Ready!

[It hadn't taken them long to find the enemy. The local police were desperately trying to hold the line, but they simply weren't enough, and Kishin Eggs were swarming the city. Raidou wasted no time rushing at the nearest one.]

*Alucard never had any trouble transforming into his Weapon form. He peered out of the blade with his yellow eyes, always much more eager for battle as a sword.*

Oh marvelous. These kishin eggs look as though they'd fit right in with my father's castle. It makes me want to rip them apart all the more.

Then I will give you the opportunity.

[Whether it was Raidou thinking that or some effect of the Madness wavelength around, he didn't know. It didn't matter right now, in any case. The blade tore through the Kishin Egg's arm, eliciting a shriek as the limb dropped on the ground.]

Multumesc. *It never hurt to be polite, even in a battle. Before the kishin egg could do much more than wail, Alucard followed up with a fatal slash across its throat.*

Raidou, you can see better than I. Should we try to protect a main road or tackle a building being surrounded with kishin eggs?

A building. Any people trapped inside will have a more immediate need for rescue.

[Speak of the devil. There was another kishin egg climbing up the wall of a building, towards a window. Raidou snatched a rock from the ground as he ran and threw it at the monster's back to get its attention.]

Come here, demon. I will make for a better game.

*If there was madness in the air, Raidou wasn't acting either too withdrawn or too berserk, but somewhere in the middle. Alucard strengthened his resonance with his partner as though he were squeezing Raidou's hand.*

I think you got its attention.

*Especially since it decided to leap OFF the building and try to land on their heads.*

[Raidou threw himself backwards and landed with a roll, avoiding the kishin egg with ease. Without any further thought, he struck, forcing the beast back. The resonance was a warm wave running up his arm; he could feel the force of his blows grow.

There was nothing like the adrenaline of battle. No duties or identity issues to think about, just them and the opponent. everything else could wait until after.]

*It was a simple matter to follow up the strike with another that slit the beast's throat. Two others, trying to force their way into nearby buildings, stopped their progress and approached Alucard (and Raidou wielding him) with menace.*

[Raidou watched them come closer, then moved, circling around them while making sure they both remained on one side. The moment they attempted to trap him between them, he retreated, either with Alucard's backdash or his own skill. The monsters grew more and more frustrated as their prey escaped their claws. Good. Sooner or later they'd start making mistakes.

He felt powerful. Perhaps that should have worried him after their recent fiasco with the Madness. Instead, he smiled while the kishin eggs gave chase.]

Futile. [The nearest kishin egg found itself missing an arm. Then a head. One more.]

*There was power there, yes, but Alucard felt neither the mental withdrawal of Raidou nor the complete loss of temper. It was very controlled, hovering in the middle. Confidence and trust bred strength in the bond, making resonance grow stronger.

Alucard grew bold inside the sword, lending his voice to any number of war cries in Romanian. All as he hacked apart kishin eggs one by one.*

[Exhilarating. That's what it was. The satisfaction of the blade hitting its mark, of narrowly avoiding a swing of a claw. The battle going the way he wanted it to. Alucard's deep voice echoing within him, causing his blood to heat up in excitement. More.

Raidou inhaled deeply as the last remaining enemy fell at his feet. It was only then that he noticed his hands were shaking.]

*Alucard transformed back, feeling his energy wane. The only thing for it now was to consume the souls left floating from the dead kishin eggs.*

Raidou? Are you all right? You were not injured?

I'm fine.

[Raidou couldn't have explained his reaction. He was still eager for battle, reluctant to stay still... Was this good or bad? How much of it was him and how much was the Madness? He couldn't tell.]

We should evacuate the civilians.

Indeed. *Alucard finished the necessary task of consuming the souls before joining his partner to help out the civilians.*
