[OPEN] Death City Job Fair
Characters: OPEN
Location: Shibusen City Park
Rating: G
Time: March 10, All Day
Description: Come find a job to support yourself while you're staying in Death City, or do your boss a favor and tell prospective employees what you get paid to do!
The park setup had the air of a festival on the morning of the job fair. Businesses had turned out with folding tables and tents to keep the sun off of their helpful employees and the job-seekers, setting out signs with the name of their establishment and a small stack of applications for anyone interested in working for them. Various businesses had asked their employees to take turns manning the booths for the day, hopefully being helpful and explaining what working each job entails.
Unfortunately, everyone's going to get a little damp with the midday rainstorm, but perhaps those kind employees will let you stand under a tent with them until it it passes!
{{ ooc; Please feel free to set up a thread for your character's business or place of employment, and have some employee/jobseeker mingling!
Every establishment in town has positions available, and you can find a list of what jobs you can find by looking at the employment spreadsheet. Job descriptions can be found over at the employment page. }}

Metokkori R and Related Stores [OPEN] [Action/Log]
babystore. There are individual booths on three sides of the tent, leaving one side free for anyone to wander in.
On the left, you have Metokkori R, your friendly neighbourhood Japanese goods store specializing in hobby goods, handmade Cthulhus and imported food. Feel free to drop by the booth and pick up some pamphlets on cosplay, GunReaper models as well as complementary star-shaped microfiber cleaning cloths and fun star-shaped shutter shades.
On the right is the Hikan Cafe, formerly known as the Hikan Tea Shop. Its main selling point is its cheerful, family-friendly atmosphere, as well as a dazzling array of teas and drinks. The menu is also prominently featured at the table, because the dishes available change according to the season. Would you care for a free sample of their signature Keroro tea blend?
In the center, on a small round pub table is a single glass-fronted cube full of stuffed Cthulhus. This is the informational booth for the newest addition to the Metokkori R family, The Kero Cube: a store that rents out tiny spaces to Death City's artisans as little shops for their handmade goods. Pamphlets are neatly lined up on the table for those interested in renting and getting their hard work out to the public. Around the Kero Cube table are other small round pub tables, without anything on them as a place for people to hang around with their food samples.
In the back is a table manned alternately by the two co-owners of Hikan Cafe, with papers, pens, and folders. If you want a job, or maybe just an interview and to drop off your resume, this is where you should go. There are mannequins dressed in the shop uniforms of a white button-down shirt and black pants or skirt and the employee's choice of a full or half apron beside this booth. For those who are merely curious and wouldn't mind giving Eve and Keroro more money, there is a lone gacha machine by the front that will accept coins. If you missed the Metokkori R x Chara Misfortune keychains the first time around, now is your last chance!
(OOC: Metokkori R and all related stores are located on the third floor of Building C.
Metokkori R is hiring 1 shelving clerk (morning shift) and 1 manager (full-day if possible).
Hikan Cafe is hiring 2 waiters (morning/lunch shift) and 2 baristas (morning and afternoon shifts).
The Kero Cube is not currently hiring or renting. The table is simply there to let you know that it is coming, prepare your wallets.
The keychain gacha only contains the old Zone leaders and second-in-commands (Riza+Flynn). No Roy is available. Lots of Nejis though.
More information on all of these stores can be found here.)

He does recognize some of the motifs from his interaction with Keroro, so now he's standing near the Hikan Cafe table, looking curiously at the uniforms before turning towards the table. ]

Well, no matter. Keroro gives you a wave anyway.]
Welcome, is there anything I can help you with, de arimasu?
sorry about the wait, i just got back from hiatus!
Hello, Keroro-san.
I was looking into your business ventures, and employment opportunities.
Don't worry, it's perfectly okay! :3
Oh, you're interested in joining us, de arimasu?
no subject
What can you tell me about your cafe?
no subject
Our cafe's focus is family-friendliness! That's why the menu as well as the decor are all focused on fun!
[pokes the menu on the poster board]
Cheerfulness!
[Yes, that is a group picture of the Hikan Cafe employees he's poking next.]
And most importantly, warmth, de arimasu! Our menu changes according to the season, with fresh items for summer and spring and heavier items for the colder months, de arimasu. The drinks are available year-round.
The decor uses wood and light colors, with open seating in the front. At the back we have more intimate seating suited for people who want more privacy, de arimasu.
[He's can keep talking if no one tells him to stop. This is his cafe after all.]
no subject
I understand!
So, this cafe. It sounds charming...
[ though he hasn't seen it before. ]
Are you looking for more employees?
no subject
We're always looking for more employees, de arimasu. Do you have any experience as a waiter or making tea and coffee, de arimasu?

Why would you think that, de arimasu?

There's a lot here... [de arimasu.]
no subject
That's to give people a better idea of what our stores have to offer, de arimasu.

What is all of this? [Not that she had ever been to a job fair before—running Aunt Cora’s Closet was her first attempt at making a legitimate living—but she would have expected fewer stuffed toys and more paperwork.]
no subject
Advertising, of course!
no subject
[Ah! It's that suspicious green alien that looks like a frog!]
no subject
[Well, he's looking right back at you.]
The injuries you had before seem to have healed pretty well, de arimasu.
no subject
[And Lily is going to stare back. He's still going to bring that up now?]
[a nod] Yes, they were just scratches. And it's been a month.
no subject
Besides, this is as good a time as any to bring it up. He has a good memory for this kind of thing.]]
So it has, de arimasu. I'm guessing no mirrors blew up on you lately, de arimasu?
[In fact, he's most likely never letting you forget that incident.]
no subject
No, of course not. [Which was completely true. She hadn't had any unfortunate encounters with mirrors since returning to Death City. Unfortunate encounters with pools though were another matter. And she's going to try to change the subject now...]
What kind of store is it, anyway? A toy shop? [She leans over to look more closely at the glass cube.] What in tarnation are those? Alien squids?
no subject
Good to hear, de arimasu. You can never be too careful around mirrors after all, de arimasu. The first one is a Japanese goods store and the second is a cafe. Oh, and those are Cthulhu. That's what Rose-dono calls them.
Back from vacation. Sorry for the delay!
This time it's my turn to be back from vacation haha...orz
It's okay!
