Characters: Hanabi and Hinata Hyuuga (open to other characters later)
Location: Training grounds
Rating: G to PG
Time: Feb.23rd, morning
Description: The Hyuuga sisters test resonance together and destroy a practice dummy in the process
Hanabi didn't want to pressure her sister to work with her, but she couldn't deny the point that a few people had made to her. She and Hinata had a very good chance of resonating strongly with one another and working well together. Trust was an important part of resonance, and they had that, along with the desire to protect each other from harm. There was the added benefit that Hinata wouldn't doubt her on the basis of her age.
It was best that Hinata tested resonance with someone who she knew and trusted anyhow, Hanabi thought. She didn't want her sister having a bad experience by attempting resonance with a Meister with a difficult personality. Knowing Hinata, she'd blame herself and apologize if the resonance was bad, when it took two people to resonate. Unless one had a Meister ability that involved self-resonance like Hanabi's Meister ability, that was. She knew Hinata had tested resonance once with a Meister named Ammy.
"Ready, Hinata-neesan?" she asked. Extending her arm, she reached her hand out so that Hinata could grab it as soon as she was ready to transform into her Weapon form.

Transforming still took her a moment as she was trying to get used to it. But she couldn't stop smiling even as she meditated and reached for that part of her. For her, it felt like it had been far too long (and it probably had been years) since they had trained together in such a way together. Not in a way where they were fighting each other.
After a minute, she found it. And then she was wrapped around Hanabi's hand, a simple handwrap to protect her. A position she fell into easily.

She pushed some of her soul wavelength at Hinata for her to grasp onto. Within the soul wavelenth energy came a few dominant traits of Hanabi's soul. Dedicated, polite, confident, quiet, strong and determined - these were the dominant traits. More than likely, there wouldn't be much of a surprise here for Hinata. It was a little different when one was resonating with someone one barely knew.

Hinata easily reached out with her own wavelength as best she could. It was still very much a learning experience for her, being only her second time at attempting this. But her own dominant traits came out, many of them compliments to Hanabi's; stubborn, optimistic, kind, forgiving, gentle, and shy. Almost similar to how she was doing her best to resonate.

"You're doing fine," said Hanabi softly as she grasped the wavelength energy. Some of her reassurance came through the wavelength as Hanabi pushed it in her sister's direction. When it came to confidence, Hanabi had plenty to spare. "Let's do our best and see what we can do."

"I'm ready...whenever you are."

Until they practiced sustaining soul resonance, it was probably as good as they were going to get. Pushing soul wavelength energy out from the palm that Hinata's Weapon form covered, she slammed it into one of the practice dummies as though she was practicing a Jyuuken finishing strike.
The effects were devastating.

It was shocking.
And, well, cool. In a sense. But still, shocking.
"Ah... That," she started, but found herself unable to finish.

"Hinata-neesan, I think your Weapon power might work like Jyuuken."
That was one possible explanation for the sudden burst in power. Hinata might have to try resonating with another Meister to be absolutely certain. Some Weapons had powers that could be classified as 'support' abilities. It was plausible for someone as kind and supportive as Hinata to have an ability that energized the Meister. Still, the idea that her Weapon ability might be a soul wavelength attack persisted. BREW had seemed to convert people's natural abilities to something equivalent in this world.
"...and even if it's not, I think we'd do a great job fighting Kishin eggs together. I bet we'd really surprise them!"
It dawned on Hanabi that she hadn't formally asked her sister, and that she shouldn't assume that because Hinata was family that she definitely would want to work together. Hanabi's cheeks flushed slightly. Maybe her sister would prefer to work with someone older.
"Um. That is, if you'd like to be my Weapon partner?"

And it felt right. Strength was always something she wanted. But perhaps, not in this way.
"Ah, yes." Hinata agreed. She sounded happy, too. Still a little excited, but dampened by what had happened.
"I do think we would.. Um, it would really be nice. If we worked together. I'd like to." She stumbled over her words this time not because of nervousness, but out of joy. From gratitude. Working with her sister would be a blessing. It meant she wouldn't have to worry about her whenever she went out on a mission with someone else. Plus, they really would give those Kishin Eggs the surprise of their life.

Together, they could fight Kishin eggs and grow stronger.
