Psii | outside Patchwerk Laboratory | July 18 | Open

[Later, Psii will try to talk self out of superstitious feeling that knew it was in Death City moment it appeared. Knows that hold it, and she, still have over him can rewrite memory sectors retroactively, so seems as if uneasiness of last two days--sense of own presence and hardware being, all over again, tenuous in this universe--was really premonition of ship's arrival.

(He doesn't like to admit, even to self, that walks over to within sight of Stein's laboratory sometimes, to check that she is still gone. Refuses to think about, especially to self, how thread of disappointment creeps into relief at times when sees that she is.)

Entire ship would have been worse. Probably.

As is, one street near laboratory is blocked by bank of consoles, and initial shock of seeing them here makes Psii unsteady on feet. Still knows every configuration their lights can flash. They're dark now, with main power source--him--gone. Ship would have run on auxiliary power after... whatever happened that killed him. Would have been essentially crippled, limping back to Alternian space. Psii pretends doesn't feel a pang of dismay at that thought.

After surprise recedes, what keeps him frozen in place, except for one hand lifting, without his realizing it, to touch site of neural connector on that side of head, is seeing tangle of bioware wires rising from street and dangling from partial ceiling, some as thick around as his wrist, that was home, prison, refuge, and torment for hundreds of sweeps.]

[ooc: Some of the ship's defenses are still working. What this mostly means is that it'll try to zap anyone whose blood is lower than teal on the troll hemospectrum with a mild-to-moderate electric shock, basically like being tased--and humans count as lower than teal. >D The tentacles/bioware cables will try to grab anyone who gets close enough, but most of the system is missing.]
