As fate would have it, it just so happened to be that Shinji was the lucky passerby that Hamel would introduce to the effects of the Pot of Greed. Mercifully, the younger boy had recently gotten himself a set of headphones what were pretty much indispensable when it came to taking a stroll on his own, so while he caught that Hamel had said something to him, the exact nature of the statement remains something of a mystery. He blinked a little in surprise, going to remove said headphones in order to hear him a little more clearly, when...

He jumps back a little as the cards are presented, and pauses for a second or two to see if he can't try and make some sort of sense on what just happened.... Nope. He's lost.
