Shinji had been feeling particularly antsy lately. With his upcoming first mission weighing rather heavily on his mind, he couldn't bring himself to stay inside for very long. It was making him feel a little stir crazy.

Which is why he decided to take a walk. There wasn't any real expectation for him to run into anyone he knew, and mostly he wanted to see how much of the city he could cover before returning back to his apartment, but upon hearing his name called out, it seemed like his trek was cut short.
