Mission
Characters: Cloud Strife, Hades, Sephiroth, & X (Sai)
Location: San Pedro de Atacama (Chile)

Description: Cloud & Sephiroth are deployed to investigate the missing mission goers and find out why the Shibusen technicians all ended up dead. They run across Hades & Sai, and they will bring them back in whatever state necessary.
Cloud found this mission to be one of the grimmer ones that he and Sephiroth had participated in, but he recognized the need for them to go as a Deathscythe pair. Besides, it would be good practice for them to work a little more closely with Shibusen, and there was nothing like getting out of the city to track down either witch, kishin egg, or in this case, two of their own who had gone missing.
The arid countryside was nothing to really get excited about. The grassland areas were sparce, not particularly somewhere that made it easy to hide. The few mountains around were just as dry and drab as the rest of the place and the few trees were such a waste of time that it wasn't even worth spending more than a few minutes under their foliage. So, they had carried on through the morning in search, following the trail of madness that called to his partner even if he could feel nothing. As always, he followed Sephiroth's cues in that matter, using his eyes, ears and smell rather than the tingle of madness in the air.
Crossing his arms over his chest, he stood on a large rock, staring across the arid plains that gave way to what was a small forested area. He tilted his head as a light breeze rustled his hair and picked at his clothing before turning to look at the silver-haired man nearby. "Maybe we should have brought more than swords and a waterskin, huh? They may be unconscious, and it would be a pain to have to carry someone back the way that we have come. Are we getting closer at least?"
