and if you go chasing rabbits and you know you're going to fall [CLOSED]

Characters: Genesis Rhapsodos and Miles Edgeworth
Location: Chad
Rating: PG-13 because helloooooo violence and total grossness.
Time: May 23
Description: Team Red Hot Sexy invades Chad and must rid the place of large icky disgusting maggots - and look gorgeous while doing it.

It had not taken them long to find the big insects, and to come to the conclusion that their spit was most likely not going to be a pleasant experience if they found themselves on the receiving end of it. Perhaps it was more fitting to say that the big insects had found them first, as Genesis and Edgeworth hadn't needed to go deep into the underground tunnels where the maggots lived and stirred up the terrain.

To Edgeworth, this was essentially a mission to dispatch creatures capable of arousing one of his fears - a fear of earthquakes. Those maggots' tunnels were making the land susceptible to collapse and he and his partner had to help get rid of them. While it was one way to conquer his fear and previous missions had exposed him to caves and the world beneath the soil, it was definitely going to take more to truly banish the constant, nagging anxiety that seemed to whisper into his ear whenever he took one step away from one of the tunnel entrances - always one step away from the safer, more open world outside. It showed in the way his eyes sometimes flicked upward to the tunnel ceiling as though expecting it to suddenly crumble, or how he would suddenly glance at his feet, as if he distrusted the firmness of the ground beneath them.

One maggot facing the duo reared up, and expelled a large and nasty-looking blob. Edgeworth neatly dodged it and didn't even watch it splatter onto the wall. Focusing on the matter at hand, he stepped forward quickly and with a yell, sliced the maggot's head off with the Rapier. Despite the initial adrenaline rush and confidence boost that came with that one kill, the Meister had to work hard to not think of the fact that they were fighting in tunnels that weakened the terrain above and...

No. He pressed forward, concentrating on keeping his resonance with Genesis blazing, not wanting to lose to a bunch of disgusting insects. This was no time to let his fears get the best of him.
